I see tons of frozen paint colors where I live, and if I lived in a private house as opposed to a condominium and could wash my own car, I would’ve considered getting one. To me the downside was the upkeep needed for frozen colors and it wasn’t worth the hassle. 😢

That I have no arguments with. Like certain stainless steel appliances...look great but the exterior upkeep...

At least they invented stainless steel appliances that are fingerprint resistant!

If you want it bad enough, that is not an issue. Hell, go get a car wrapped with top quality wrapping and all properly done. Would make the $4,900 for the actual paint (and under warranty) seem like a bargain

Sure. Of course there are lots of frozen paint jobs on the road because it’s not like bell bottoms which get thrown out after three seasons when the trend is dead.

I’m glad frozen is available for those who like it. For me, when I see a matte paint job, I get the same feeling as when I walk into a house with shag carpet or avocado colored appliances.

But, most people hate the ZB with cognac I’m opting for, so I get that my taste doesn’t represent the truth.

Different strokes for different folks. Nobody is right or wrong if they order a frozen color. 😉

In a showroom next to Skyscraper you can definitely see some blue undertones in Brooklyn.

There are several photos out there where I get ZB confused with BG and vice versa in certain lighting conditions.

My biggest complaint is that these aren't even model-appropriate. BMW has so many colors at their disposal and this is the best thing they can come up with? Re-used matte paint from a 5 series? Zandvoort blue was already a massive flop.

Might have missed it, but any idea when we might be able to put a build in with one of these new colors? I have an allocation (currently at "order received") with a week 27 production (first week of July). I have BG spec'd and am wondering if I would have the option to switch it to frozen PB at this point.

The price is not the issue for me on paint. That figure is similar to Individual (at least since my last Individual order). I would be totally willing to pay that for Fire Orange.

Frozen ain't my thing.

If they offered fire orange or any purple (besides tnm, I love it but don't want the m240i color) I'd pay the premium. I like the Frozen blue, but not as much as the ZB, and my wife hates the frozen blue so that was a quick consideration.

This British racing green looks great in person. I wouldn't mind this.

Any speculation on if and when IOMG is supposed to be released?

If it’s released after we put in an order in, can we switch it to a different color?

I have not heard or seen anything stating IOMG would be an added color.

I believe once your VIN is issued you are SOL to make any changes.
