This is this a rumor thread. Maybe it won’t come to fruition, but it would be cool if it did.
I highly doubt that will ever truly happen

The Toyota Celica is next followed by the Celica Supra replacing the A90 Supra

Of course BMW is more than capable of building a 6-speed that can handle the extra power.
This is, I believe, the real reason - which appears similar to everyone getting a torque converter in M cars compared to the DCTs in the past.

Porsche said the same thing for the GT4/Spyder RS - can't handle the power / torque. Oh, and that the MT from the GT3 wouldn't fit...which is what they've been saying for 10 years about the GT3 motor fitting in the mid-engine platform...all malarkey.

Of course they could make one if they were allowed to do so.

How in the world would they hit a sub 3000 lb weight with a BEV in the first place? CF everything? Driver controls the car via remote control?

But that doesn’t explain why they’re not making the G87 CS available in manual form. They could increase the horsepower without increasing the torque to make it work.

I suspect there just isn’t as much of a business case for the manual.

Carbon Core is never inexpensive

So the cost alone with be astronomical

Take a look at the weight of the M5 Hybrid Electric

Take a look at the new Macan Turbo it weighs 5400 pounds… 😬

But it does...they can, but they won't.

Like Chris Rock said, the space program can make metal that will withstand 20,000 degrees...you mean to tell me they can't make an Eldorado where the bumper don't fall off?

They can, but they won't.

Wonder if there’ll be any weight reduction on the CS besides wheels, hood & trunk…

And I'm guessing the battery out of the M3/M4s at the minimum? Assuming that and the wheels on the M2 were a cost cutting measure, it's an easy diet to advertise since it's the CS and people will pay for it over the base M2.

That last video makes the car look soooo balanced and composed! Quite the driver as well!

Really excited for the release. Does anyone know when we can expect that? Guessing this fall?
