Hi. Noob here, first time ordering a BMW. I received a call from the CA upon filling out an online inquiry to purchase an M2. The dealer asked for a $1k deposit which I gave. He asked for a build code which I provided as well from the online configurator and then promptly placed an order and sent me an order confirmation. The status on the order confirmation shows 111 - Order Accepted at AG.

Honest question… does this mean I have an allocation? In the order confirmation I can see I have been issued a “Prod. No”.

Also, the CA seems to have specced it out to the max. He said it’s just a placeholder and that I have until end of this month to modify the order. I did that yesterday, removing almost all things he added for me replacing them with the CF Inlet and spoiler.

I am just wanting to know if everything is checking out here and if I’m past an allocation being issued point or is that a step AFTER this? I’m trying to setup my expectations as very excited about the car.

Thanks in advance for reading my boring ass long post.

You do not have an allocation. If you get one it's status 112. Your car becomes unmodifiable at status 115. Once the allocation comes in you'll have a couple days to finalize your build. It sounds like your CA hasn't explained the process very well.

Got it, and thank you very much! Yes the CA seems to be new. He did sent me a screenshot of the waitlist and I’m sitting at number 6 with the first three highlighted in green (which I assume means customers with issued allocations).

Totally incorrect. He does have an allocation if it is at status 111. There is no status 115. You mean status 150.

Does your order sheet have a production number? Post a picture of your order sheet. We will then be able to tell you if you indeed received an allocation.

yeah, this is incorrect

op: you have an allocation at status 111. at status 112, it means it was accepted by corporate. ask your advisor for the production # which you can use on bmwusa.com to track the progress of the build. if they can't provide the build # to you, then it means you don't have an allocation.

you can call bmw corporate's number and use your production # to reference the week your order is scheduled to start build (status 150) -- at this status, you will not be able to make modifications. anything prior to this status, contact your advisor to change specs.

Thanks. Yeah, status 150. Where did 112 come from?

Apparently I'm completely wrong and your dealer has already had six allocations. That is insane.

Thank you all, good to know I have an allocation. I’ll run my production number on the website as stated above. Excited!

Really torn on paint colors, currently speccd with TR as it really shows all the design aspects. BSM looks badass but hides everything! Tough decision.

Not to mention a complete PIA to keep clean and most definitely needs some kind of PPF or Ceramic to protect that investment.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on getting an allocation just like that. We have people here, including Sethhboii who have been patiently waiting for a very long time. Consider yourself blessed.

Sorry to hear but yes definitely blessed. I was just able to pull up my build on BMWUSA. Let’s go!

In the added options, I see M Performance Dive Planes versus the CF Front Air Inlets.. wonder if my CA screwed something up?

Yes, in the US! Apparently, the list is 30 long so no idea how I got my allo but not complaining. Assuming they must be ramping up production?

That’s what they’re called, he did you right.

Also, you should change to Blue calipers…just saying.
