Funny aside from my genius interaction.

When I first called the genius a couple of months back and provided them with the order number, they associated that with my phone number.

So when I called today, this old lady claimed to be able to see my car from the prior call. And proceeds to give me info: BSM, on the Sunrise, etc…

I briefly mentioned the last 4 of my VIN. And she was like “that is not what I show - I Have xxxx a different one” minor panic.

We sort it out. Original genius transposed a digit on my order number. All previous updates given to me on all prior calls were for the wrong car!!!!!

Anyway, if you have a BSM G87 ordered in Georgia - your car is also on the Sunrise going to Brunswick.

Somehow I’m on the Glovis Sunrise and not the Phoenix Leader. I have no idea why my car is on the east coast but my VIR says the port of entry is Port Hueneme!?

I just called Genius to get double confirmation and they also said I’m on the Sunrise due to get off in Baltimore on the 17th. So heard the same thing from CA and Genius.

I’m sorry but, most likely, your car is at the port in Mexico (in reality on the boat in Altamira port in Mexico).

That is what most of us just updated to today.

It will go to In Transit soon. Then at the port again when it arrives in the US port.

Your CA is likely confused.

I was RFT on 10/9. Just now My Garage went through Awaiting Carrier Assignment to Dispatched from the Factory to At the Port.

Does this mean my car will be or is on a carrier? Or will it be spending another holiday at the port?

I was originally informed Glover Sunrise which is why I've been tracking that ship. I'm currently on hold with Genius to confirm. CA said it's at Baltimore, but he also hasn't really been the most helpful Advisor through this journey.

Also 10/18 RFT for an M340xi in NC and have been told by Genius in the past I’ll be sent to Baltimore. My garage is still RFT status and can’t get through to Genius today. Hoping we are at Altamira and getting loaded now

While no one can say when you'll get on a boat, I'd wager you still got some time. Awaiting Carrier is to leave the plant (train), and you'll goto at the port (of exit) to in transit to at the port (of entry).

*This is all if your tracker actually updates. My M3 went to awaiting Carrier assignment for months and never got updated. Found out me and like 20 others were shipped countries away for no reason and we sat and sat. Literally no one at bmw could explain.

That is the pattern of all of us that have confirmed on the Sunrise. I would imagine that's a very good sign!

Flow I've seen from past tracker updates:

At the port = In MX either on a ship already or waiting to get on one
then
In Transit = On ship at sea or at another port that is not your Destination Port
then
At the port = Car has been unloaded from Ship and waiting for transport to dealership or port install shop
then
In Transit = On a truck to dealership

10/18 RFT and confirmed with both my CA and genius that i am NOT on the boat and there is still no vessel assigned. I would assume the rest of the week of 10/16 folks are all in the same camp. the wait continues, certainly looking at at least december at this point

Folks that are still RFT (since 10/18+) I'd say just hang tight. Your car may be getting loaded up in Altamira. Updates may not come until its out to sea for a little while.

I’m hoping the people who got updated were in Veracruz and we will get updated in a couple days once we are loaded at Altamira.

If your car is at Altamira, there is still a chance you get on the Sunrise.

If not, there are other vessels soon.

It is just us week 39/40 guys that had to face 6 weeks without a ship coming to Veracruz. Normally there is one every 3 weeks or so.

I think this entire group of week 38-42 will get cars no later than mid Dec.
