Yup, all but confirmed that front and rear lights will be the same. Now the only question is whether or not the M2 will get the awful gloss black around the entire bottom of the car that we've seen on the M240 and M3/M4. It doesn't seem that way given the look of the front and rear bumpers and that there isn't an obvious cutoff point, so fingers crossed it's all one body color!

This G87 generation will be one of the best M car IMO, and probably last one as well. With S58, shorter wheel base, rwd, and six speed, it is definition of drivers car. So far I like everything I see, except these crazy ass MP parts. The hip looks like same width as 911, I love it.

True, they always update the lights on LCI models, sometimes modestly and other times more drastic changes. My biggest gripe with the lights though is they look too small on such a wide car. LCI updates only change the lens shading and lighting, but not the actual shape of the lights.

The economies of scale dictate that they have to get their money's worth from the equipment they've already engineered and certified for the current 2 Series chassis. However, somewhere down the line, I expect the G42/87 to have a laser light option but I doubt it will be for the initial run.. More than likely that will be an LCI offering.. |

50-90lbs doesn't make or break it for me. My M2 weights 3390lbs and a stock M2 comp is about 3500lbs or more. I don't think most people notice the difference unless you're on the track (maybe you'd notice I suppose). If you're on the track there are probably better cars out there anyways (corvette, Porsche, etc)

The M2 is once again being held back from its full potential. No surprise from BMW but yet again the M3 is the bigger and better brother to the M2.

Gotta be a funny conversation the guys that handle camouflaging these cars go through. Franz: Hey Steve, how about today we show them a little bit more today? Steve: How about take off another 2-3 inches near the headlights? Franz: LET'S DO IT! Like how is this decided? |

I'm actually pleasantly surprised that BMW decided to give the M2 most of the love from the M4 (interior, carbon roof, etc) from what the speculations have been telling us thus far. I just don't like that they held off from what is my favorite part of the car.
