Got to be one of the 4 in metro ATL. Guessing it will be marked priority 1 sooner rather than later given it is spec’ed well.

Yes, your specs can still be changed. Your build locks once the status goes to Production Started (150). You’re currently at 111 (Order Received).

I went back into the myBMW app finally and actually looked at the detailed view of my car...my opinion of the piano black trim has changed significantly. I think it looks great with black leather. I love the carbon steering wheel...but now I'm actually thinking I may have the aluminum trim powder coated in ZB instead of doing the matte carbon to replace the black trim. I think that would look really good.

On the other I may just be losing it and wracking my brain too much before this thing drops! Ugh.

I spec'd black leather on black trim with my e92 M3. It was nice. The only contrast was the carbon roof and silver 359 wheels. What ever you choose looks good.

On waitlist for MSRP at Gebhardt BMW in Boulder, Colorado and BMW of Denver Downtown.

Lists are long by this point, but maybe worth a call. Have bought cars from Gebhardt before and they're great.

They happened to have the ZB color sample, so I took some pics. Compared to Yas Marina, it looks very dull/washed out. Figured it would be useful for some in here. ZB is at the top, Yas Marina bottom right.

Well all, I just received my production number for my Special Order G87 3 days ago after almost 3 months of waiting. I decided to browse my dealer's site and noticed they were showing 10 2023/2024 M4's in stock so I asked the question...and unexpectedly 1 of those 10 WAS available for purchase. The build was simple, only had the extended Full Merino Leather in Black/Red, M Shadowline Lights, Adaptive LED Headlights with Laser and came in Black Saphire Metallic. Total OTD for my G87 build (which pretty much had everything) was only 6k less than my OTD for the G82 Competiton. I decided to move the deposit to the M4 and I pick it tomorrow. I actually like the integration of the display screens better in the 2023 G82, the 2024 G82 and the 2023 G87 have the large curved screen that sits on the dashboard, and imo doesn't integrate as well. I also wasn't getting the manual, which is why I believe people are so interested in the G87. I totally get the allure of driving the manual, but although I grew up driving built VW bugs, I'm not taking this car to the track, I'm just enjoying it on the roads and so I wanted an easier drive which the 8-speed ZF 8HP offers, with a slightly quicker 0-60 I might add. Anyway, for 6k I thought this was the move...and I get it now to enjoy all spring and summer.

Once you get an allocation you will move to 111/112. You will also get a production and can determine an approximate build date.

If you haven't already done so, you should ask the sales manager or whomever is in charge of allocations at your dealership, how many are ahead of you in line.

I went to (Order Received) and was sent a production number from my dealer about two months after the order was placed. I was told at the time I was 6th in line so not too bad of a wait to get a prod number. I ended up with an M4, by luck, and was told I made someone very happy that I abandoned the M2 order.

I’ve been in the first spot at my local medium sized dealership, but it seems like most dealerships are already way past their first allocation and I’m starting to think mine was lying about my position. Or at least it seems like a lot of people online are already on #2-4 allocation.

USA if that matters.

I’m in the EXACT same boat.
Got on the list in 2/22, paid the 1k deposit on June, placed my order in October, have been first in the list and waiting since.
I’m annoyed of seeing #2 and #3s get there allocation but also happy for them. I’m just waiting…
