Took her out on the maiden voyage into the mountains today after picking up from PPF last night. After being accustomed to my old 135i with it’s old suspension, the way this thing hugs the road is unbelievable. Roads were wet and it started to slip once or twice, but it was very easy to stay in control. Can’t wait to rack up miles on the twisties with this thing. Truly a pleasure to drive.
200 miles down, 1,000 to go until break in service.

No pictures, but yesterday also did my first real drive...
Got stuck behind a tractor spewing manure from it's tires. My wheel liners stink now. Otherwise great drive followed by it's first hand wash with ONR and a spray wax. |

It isn't, also I used griots 3 in 1 ceramic wax. I may PPF it come spring, so this is a temporary measure. (I know I know I should PPF now, but need some time to rebuild fun money after car purchase. Won't get toma of use over winter anyway)

Protecting the M2 door in my garage. Over the years no matter how hard I try, I would bang my car doors against my concrete wall garage. Well not anymore 😂😂😂

Decided to go with Llumar Formula One Stratos ceramic series tint while at PPF (they offered me 25% discount.)
Decided on 35% all 3 windows and 70% windshield! I’m usually a fan of darker, however I don’t want to compromise my night time driving vision. |

Would love to see a few photos in different light levels. Have an appointment Wednesday and I am not sure if I will do 30 or 35. 30 looked great on my G42 but with an open sunroof it appeared lighter.

Dahler piggyback tuner installed today.
It’s not hard but was feeling lazy and one of the sensors is in tough deep spot. Shout out to TSD Motorsports in south jersey for quick install. Highly recommend this shop for anyone near or far. Great installer for BMW and Supra. They have a close relationship with Kies and can source products directly. |

Didn’t push a ton yet, but it’s definitely noticeable. Torque and power definitely increased, and comes on sooner in the rpm which is what I was hoping for. Much more eager to brake traction, including in 3rd gear. Does remain quite smooth in delivery early and quite violent up high.
I have an intake, and turbo got even louder with the tuner. This includes much more evident blow-off sounds not previously apparent. I think it will be quite awesome, and as with any tune, will not likely want to go back. Car being manual, I don’t think I’m gonna push for any higher numbers past this, maybe a downpipe. Intake and midpipe done so far. Maybe I’ll find a local dyno to check +\- tuner. I’ve never dynoed before but would be cool for posterity. |
