I'm betting it will be a $1k-$2k. The new Mustang got a price jump around that amount before it was even launched. Yeah relative to the overall price of the car it's not that much but it's still frustrating for those of us that have been waiting since the beginning.

I have an unclaimed purple Z4 in production. Definitely not impossible.

There's no benefit to pulling it. Move forward with whatever your alternative will be. When that is in your driveway go ahead and pull it. Until then there's nothing to gain, and everything to lose.

Best case scenario you get your alternate car, then get M2 allocation, then make a rediculous post about selling your allocation for only $5k profit on your end.

LMAO 🤣 I would never sell my allocation, I’d rather “pay it forward”

I will honestly have to consider an M240 if the M2 price hike is significant. I'm operating on the limit of what I am willing to spend with current pricing.

Trivial as it is doubtful anyone is going to walk because of $1-2k increase. Sadly, it is what it is. Sign of the times.

Edit, A 3% increase on the current MSRP would add $1866 whereas a 4% increase would add $2488. I could easily see it being in-between either of these.

So far I have not seen any M2 allocations nation wide. To further pour salt into the wound, I passed a trailer with an M2 heading north. At least it wasn't the color I want.

So no sign on the trailer saying "this could be yours"?

No more allocations for MY 23 M3’s. Wondering if it’s the same for M2’s. Next allocations for M3’s won’t be until July from what I’ve heard.

Still waiting for an M2 allocation. CA reached out last week saying they hope to get one soon. Allocations will drop end of this month. It’s mine as I’m first. MSRP. I’m gonna hang in there. Got my spec locked but going back and forth between AW or BG. Leaning BG. Problem is that I have a 2024 Cayman GTS going into production in June with a scheduled delivery in October (yeah right! I know it will be delayed) and I really don’t want to trade my M240 for the M2. Maybe the ‘problem’ won’t be a problem if I don’t get an M2 allocation anytime soon. Not too worried about $1-2k in MY 2024 M2 price increase, if it even is that much. The Cayman went up $5100 for the MY 2024 and that doesn’t bother me. So, if I get an M2 allocation, I’m going through with it and will see if it speaks to me enough to trade my M240. The financially responsible decision would be to pass on the M2 after test driving it and letting the dealer keep my $1k deposit. Of course, I will try to get it back if this is the decision I go with, but $1k to test drive a manual G87 M2 isn’t so bad😆

Stay cool. Be patient. Happy motoring.

Do you have a choice at this point? Other than buying something else, of course.

July production, May allocations will introduce the two new frozen colors. There is the possibility that the 2024 model year begins in July? Honestly that would make sense with the intro of two new colors.

2023 G42 production started in July

edit:
actually, was *supposed* to start in July. My original build date for my 23 was July 12. But things got delayed while they tried to finish up on the 22s. I entered the assembly line on 8/1/22

Nope, we are all at the whim of this god awful car market that has developed over the last few years.

Correct, 2023 G42 M240 production started in August. Received my allocation on July15 and VIN on August 26.

So by beginning of June, the dealerships should show the availability of the two frozen colors (I know the general public websites take a little longer to update)?

East coast allocations today through Thursday and west coast allocations Thursday and Friday. From a reliable source asking to remain anonymous.

This would be nuts for the M2 so early into production. Hoping just limited to M3s.
