That’s all he said during a phone call earlier today. This guy has provided very solid info since allocations began a few months ago.

If you or others believe my post should be deleted, I’ll do it but I’m passing along info from somebody who’s been reliable to date.

This is what I'm doing. Picking up a 981 Cayman GTS this weekend lol. Worst case, I'm stuck sitting on a relatively non-depreciating asset until the allocation is filled.

Early? G87 production began 12/22. We know for certain that SLP was producing 2023 HEA Spec G87s as early as 10/22.

After “running the numbers” on a pre owned ZL1, if I’m spending money, I’d rather wait for a brand new M2. I’m literally going to stop looking at other cars and bask in my greatness of a 234k mile Mazda Tribute with no AC 😭

My brother has a ‘22 ZL1 1LE and I can confirm that if you’re into American muscle, it is for sure the way to go. It is an absolute monster.

It got hot but thankfully I live 10 minutes from my job, and the gym is inbetween so it’s a good ole circle

If you are truly into real American muscle cars, just get a resto-modded 68 - 71 Mopar or Camaro, 69 fastback Mustang or 66/67 Chevy II. Thwre are some nice cars in the M2 price range at Meecum.

What is the benefit of waiting one more month? Does the MY change indicate additional allocations?

US dealers were still getting HEA cars last month. Other countries haven't even done their official release yet. You don't think that's early in the production cycle? Early or not, it probably doesn't matter.

I saw approximately zero. Maybe tomorrow or Friday.
That being said, I haven't gotten allocations for anything yet, so I think it's early.

There currently is no list and no one waiting for the car. Just saying i have my name at the top of a list, i assume they will call me everytime an allocation comes in. I don't care if I'm first or third, or even 10th. I am just looking for an April 2024 delivery. comprende?

As echoed previously, a single allocation in the midwest is going to be a miracle in of itself. Don't think BMW is gonna randomly ramp up allocations next year as if they were arbitrarily holding them back this year.

At this point you're better off getting on a coastal dealership waitlist. Even if youre 10+ deep youre on track to get it before #1 and 2's in the midwest.
U may be right, but i have passed on an allocation as well as a customized zb sunroof manual today that someone gave up at the last second.

As for my 2 month window conversation...
They can sell 7 of them between now and January as long as the Feb allocation is set aside for this guy
wishful thinking? maybe, but I have A LOT of patience. and i really dont need the car right now

I think you are missing the point. Its a list with other people on it in an order wherein they are all waiting (loke you would be). If the dealership is reputable and ethical, you dont get to keep realigning your position for your sole benefit.

Or maybe you get lucky and if you get shuffled down a list and your number is pulled in your window, ding ding ding...you win!

Now I am sure you could find a dealership that is selling their allocations which would allow you to get a spot when you are ready...of course you would be "paying" for that allocation.
