If no one from Altamira has been notified yet that they are on the Sunrise, then I would expect them to be able to find out tomorrow from BMWGenius, or see their status update by Tuesday. Fingers crossed for you 🤞 |

Wanted to update the group on my status in case it helps others. I was RFT 10/19 on an M340i in NC and arriving at Baltimore. My garage status is still RFT and no updates from my CA. But I just got off the phone with Genius and they confirmed I made the Glovis Sunrise on the 10th and it’s expected in Baltimore on the 16th. Based on the dates and confirmation I think I was in Altamira. So others around that RFT date should call Genius.

I was just contacted by my CA and he told me that my car is on the Glovis Sunrise and that it should arrive at port Newark on the 20th.
Again, my production date was 10/10 and RFT 10/12. To give the guys around the same days some hope! Mybmw still says RFT btw. |

RFT since 10/27
Genius confirmed that I am in transit to the port and have NOT been assigned to a vessel yet but to call back towards the end of the week and they should know the vessel assignment. Was holding out a little hope but that has been dashed. Hoping I take delivery in December now. |

From what I've read with others. It's been anywhere from 3 days to around 2 weeks. Depends a lot on whether you have port installed parts and how far away you are from the port itself.

CA just confirmed that my car got on the ship on November 10th. Expected to arrived at the NJ port in about two weeks and another one- two weeks to arrive at the Boston Dealership- so, early December it is! Super excited!
My car was RFT on October 13th and the online status has not changed yet (for those whose status has not changed yet with RFT around the same time as mine, this might be the case). |

Congrats to all the late stowaways - those that are still showing RFT but are confirmed on the Sunrise. It seems to me that Veracruz updates the status as they scan them onto the ship, but Altamira takes several days to update. Makes sense, since Altamira has been used only as an overflow port and may not have all the processes fully matured yet.
So it looks like everyone with RFT up to ~the 19th or 20th of October has been picked up. For those that were missed, looks like a lot of ships coming in short order. Now on to the delivery race. Looks like Port of NY/NJ arrival will be early in the week of Thanksgiving. And it will be a lot of cars offloaded there. I'll post below what I know happens at the Vehicle Processing Center.

Once off the ship, BMW vehicles will go to the (port co-located) Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC), sometimes/previously called Vehicle Processing Center (VPC).
There are several of them. On the upper east coast there is Sparrows Point at the Baltimore Port and the Jersey City one at 20 Colony Rd Jersey City NJ 07305, that my car and all those in NJ/NY/CT/MA, etc are going to. It overlooks the NY bay and the WTC. See pics below. (there is only one CCA tour picture of the inside of the NJ VDC, since BMW does not allow cameras during tours, but there are several on line of the opening of Sparrows Point two years ago - it is much more modern) The cars get offloaded into a patio, then processed. They remove protective tapes, wash/inspect paint and car for damage. Correct/repair any shipping damage, install accessories (in my case M Performance HAS), apply shipping protective film, and schedule the cars to truck carriers. It can take as few as 1-2 days, typically a week, sometimes two or more weeks for your car to get on a truck. Once on a truck delivery to dealer happens within a day or two, sometimes same day.

I think this is their phone number - (201) 369-2042 - call them up and ask if you can visit once the Sunrise arrives. Maybe you can see your car going through

I think you better check again.... Sunrise was out of range 10 hours ago. Condor has only been out of range for an hour.
Also, Brunswick updated their "15 Day Vessel Outlook". Sunrise is still 11/14 @ 8am Condor just moved back to 11/15 @ 7am
