Pretty sure that if I drove that particular Genesis "into the rough" after attempting multiple barrel rolls, I'd have had urine and blood pulled for a tox screen so fast my head would be spinning.

But, Tiger goes airborne, rolls the damn thing (a few times), leaves a trail of destruction w/ no evidence of braking...... and the cops at the scene go "Noooo! It couldn't POSSIBLY have been toxicological. Not Tiger!" And give him a free pass even though he trashes the car and puts himself into the hospital.

Like Orwell said-- "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others."

I find the whole thing mildly disgusting-- mostly because of the 600 lb. elephant in the room that he received preferential treatment- but nobody wants to call it for what it really is.

My guess is that he was speeding (+20 mph over) and talking on his phone when snap-oversteer got him going downhill. Or...he was high a kite!

I can't believe it all comes down to Tiger Woods as to whether the general public will ever know the full story. How is this normal? Like someone else said, if this were pretty much anyone else, we'd know exactly what happened by now.

Most likely... HIPAA rules are in effect related to Rx (or other) chemicals at work.

The fact that details that have bene obtained and the root cause of this accident is allegedly known, it's adding more to this celebrity status treatment IMO.

Because we still live in the USA and there is such a thing as the right to privacy. I'm kinda glad we still have it though it is rapidly going the way of the Dodo Bird.

I don't disagree with that, but my point was that if this weren't TW, we would all probably know the root cause of that accident. Just sayin'.

Sounds like a HIPAA issue to me. Other than personal medical information I'm not sure what the cops would feel they need to withhold based on his consent.
