That is ideal. I am going on QC for 24 hours now...I suspect I will be out by EOD or tomorrow (not sure if they operate weekends).

I’ve been in qc for like 36 hours now, starting to get a little worried (not really just want my car)!
Hope your cars make the boat! |

Yeah well hearing others are in QC longer than a day makes me less worried but I feel you dude. I know everything is fine, I just want them to finish up so I can make the soonest boat and just sign for the car and drive off into the sunset lol.

Right! I sold my Supra 2 weeks ago and I’m sitting itching to get back in a fun seat! Though I need to sell my wheels from that car to finance new wheels for the m2 ha…

LOL I feel you on that! Hopefully we will be on a boat in a week's time from now. Good move from the Supra to M2.

Congrats!
Looking closer at our forums tracker spreadsheethttps://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2037667, I noticed that a lot of departures from port occur in the 1st or 2nd week of the month, typically on the 4th or 14th of the month. Seemed like a reoccurring trend. This is probably complete head cannon, but I’m hoping any M2s built in September will depart from port on October 4th or 14th. |

Hope both of ours get on the 10/4 boat. They'll probably be heading to the same port since I'm outside of Philly.

Found something on an AutoTrader ad for an M2 that I'm not sure if you all already knew about or not. Looks like a virtual brochure that you can view specific to your car once you have your VIN. Hopefully it'll help pass the time. Enjoy!

https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules If you put in Mexico as the Depart and your port as the Arrive and click find schedule you'll see all the ships going out from Mexico for the next couple of months. |

This factory is pumping out 3,000 vehicles per week. I’m sure they are loading trains most days.

Congrats and great picture. I'm in CT but my M2 has not been built yet. Scheduled to be built on Wednesday. There are at least a handful of us here.

I was in final assembly for around 40 ish days. Ready for transport for like 2 weeks. From the time the car actually left port in Mexico to my dealer in Hartford, it took about a week. It’s fairly quick once the car leaves the port, but getting to the port was a headache for me 😂

Anyone else notice a difference between your status and status code? My status says Ready for Transport but the code is 165 which according to the VIR and the Order Spreadsheet means it should be Dispatched From Factory. Just curious if that is correct or not.

I'm not so sure that BMW is using the Altamira port. From what I have seen, the same ships are stopping at Veracruz first and then Altamira before then heading to Brunswick.
It is difficult to tell where our cars are actually getting loaded because of the lag time with My Garage updating to in transit status. People could be seeing the in transit status update delayed for several days from when it actually gets loaded. In my case (M240i), it was actually loaded at Veracruz and then the ship chugged up to Altamira where it anchored at sea for almost a week. Then it docked at Altamira. My Garage updated 4 days after it was loaded (at Veracruz) and by that time the ship had already been sitting at Altamira - anchored out at sea but not even docked at Altamira yet. I would be curious to see some actual proof of a BMW being loaded at Altamira. The only way to prove this might be to get our CAs to send us the information on their computer which shows, port, vessel and bill of lading. I am sure the ship is loading vehicles at Altamira but they may not be BMWs. |
