I made a joke, and you did not disappoint. 🤣🤣🤣

Your car ever show up? Didn't you order around the same time I did? Haven't checked in on this thread in a while.

I like to keep it entertaining...😂🤣

Not sure when your ordered. I ordered in July but my dealer never got allocation #2. Well not until after I cancelled my order and went through a broker.

My scheduled build week is 19 which puts me in the first week of May. We shall see. It's not real without a VIN.

My car is Individual TP with the carbon package, MT, blue brakes, silver wheels.

That's what it was. I recognized your username. You actually ordered before me. Sorry you're going through the nonsense.

That spec will be worth the wait.

No way! I live in the East Bay too, not sure if you you had a previous M, but might have seen you at some C&C before. Anyway I am pretty easy to spot as I think I might have the only 24' MBB X5M around here lol.

Yeah, Castro Valley area.
I had previous M cars and currently driving an i4 M50 in Tanzanite II with Tartufo interior and the 20" wheels.
Also lowered on Eibach springs and tinted windows.

I just swapped out the seats for real M seats.

The SF Bay area has 10 dealers within 50 miles of SF

SF BMW
San Mateo Peter Pan
BMW of Mountain View
Stevens Creek San Jose
Fremont BMW
East Bay BMW
Weatherford BMW
Concord BMW
Fairfield BMW
BMW of San Rafael

This makes allocations crazy.
My dealer couldn't get a second allocation.
I went completely out of the area and used a broker from this forum.
He had multiple allocations.

Anyway, I called BMW and complained and my dealer got an allocation the next day. The lesson I learned was complain before you cancel, not after.

Anyway, I'm patient. Waiting for my i4 taught me to be patient.

Car should be at the dealer by about June. I'll fly to do the paperwork and have it shipped.

Do you mind if I ask when your order was accepted i.e. status 102 to 111? I only recently placed an order for Grigio myself and want to guage what the wait is going to be like. Thanks

Not who you're talking too but also have an order in for grigio, allocation and order accepted Oct 22nd, build week is 12th week(Mar 17, 2025 - Mar 23, 2025).

Prepare for a 6-7 month wait honestly. Its pretty rough.

My Grigio order was placed 8/23/24 and only went into 111 status 1/7/25. So almost 5 months just for order acceptance. Genius says my build week is 7.

Assume a 5 month wait as a minimum for individual paint from order acceptance to production. It may be better than that but unlikely.

A lot depends on batching of individual. They have to have enough cars in a specific time window to run the individual color. They also don't do two batches of individual color that overlap. So if you are the first car after they have scheduled a individual run, your wait will be longer than the last car needed to fill out the batch.

This is why they say it can be up to 12 weeks additional from allocation to build.

Order acceptance/allocation is when you start counting.

I got my allocation around Dec 18. If I had a standard color I could have had a car in my driveway by end of March. Selecting TP put me into an early May build. 8 weeks additional.

Just got off the phone with my dealer and the car selected a slot automatically in June for prod, week 26. I'm a bit sad since my birthday is in June and looks like I wont be driving it any time soon.

Btw non individual color or port installed stuff.

Looks like current allocations are for 5-6 months out. Not surprising since individual builds are now out at weeks 19-21. Anything coming in now would be after. My individual TP is still week 19.

Sucks. When did your order go in?

General question out of curiosity. People placing orders now are potentially looking at production weeks pushing into the summer months. At some point do they stop taking orders for 2025 models and switch to 2026? Or will some orders automatically be converted to 2026 MY?

Both.
Some orders that get delayed will automatically get converted. If the options configurations or options change and your car doesn't fit you will be contacted.

My 2022 i4 was converted to a 2023 order due to being pushed put.

Model year changeover for BMW is typically about the 3rd week of July.

I wonder If getting the car in say June or July nearly making it a model year old would incentivize further discount?

Im expecting my GTP in August/Sept quite frankly...build week 21 with port options...

Only if it's sitting in inventory.

That's probably unlikely.

Garage List
I think I hit the jackpot yesterday and got extremely lucky… CA called me and said they got my allocation. Not only that, it’s scheduled for a week 6 build (I know, dates get bumped and nothing is written in stone until the car goes into production), which is in just a few weeks. Not sure how that happened. There’s nothing special about the build - Skyscraper Grey, manual, lighting package and shadow line, no buckets or anything. So fingers crossed there aren’t any delays on the build. Also added the MP HAS kit to be installed at port.

I was originally on my dealer’s wait list when the car first came out. I wasn’t crazy about the colors though (was going to go with BG), but I took myself off their wait list when I heard there would be more color choices on the ‘25s. SG was one option I was hoping for, and now I’m so glad I waited.

For those on the East coast of North America, what kind of times are you guys seeing from 150 to taking delivery?

And for anyone with the MP HAS, how long did that add to the timeline on the car? I haven’t been active on here since I got off the list, but the last I’d heard, MP HAS installation was possibly adding up to 3-4 weeks to the delivery timeline.

Long Island, NY here. Carbon roof, buckets, MP HAS + 8 other port accessories.

Here's my timeline:
