If your guy can’t tell you what place you’re in, you either have the wrong guy or dealership. Perhaps both. IMO.
My CA will email a print out of the entire list showing the customer (initials), order date, build info, and order status as requested.

Mine is also very communicative over text in addition to stuff like this.

Agreed maybe re evaluate the guy you are working with or even check at any other local dealerships if this one doesn't have your position established and communicated to you.

Not the actual case though. We got one which came as a surprise. Have received one allocation for the last few months now.

The dealership left a message yesterday and said allocation time had approached. I just needed to confirm and make any design
changes. The build time is set to begin in late August and completed sometime in November possibly. Definitely getting excited about the possibility and may grab a few smaller aftermarket options.

If the build week is in late August then the build will be completed within a few short days after entering production. Prior to September. Add another six to eights to that and it will be parked in your garage/driveway.

I was actually surprised at receiving mine Friday since I was still 3rd on the list going into this round. My hope was they got 2 and I'd be on deck next month. So not sure if that means they actually got 3 or if someone backed out.

Agreed. Being in the business you’d know far better than us watching from the sidelines. I don’t think you’re guessing. As a footnote, I was third in late May and mysteriously offered an allocation in early June.

I finally got mine on Thursday, was originally #3 in line, bumped up to #2 after May.

I would expect that many people are on more than one list, so when they get an allocation they jump out of the other(s). I’m sure there are folks bailing on the car in general for a variety of personal reasons but I think the allocation jumps are related more to being on multiple lists.

There are vastly more individuals on G87 wait list than there are BMW Centers within the United States. Some Centers have list in the high 20s to lower 30s.

My local dealership is at ~50 people on the list, and estimating a 2-3 year wait for newcomers.
