Yea my dude I feel that wheel shopping a pain in the butt ugh do I get that.

I’m lowered in AST height adjustable springs. And the specs are below but these are befor added the 10mm spacer all the way around. On factory spec Michelin tire

You ended up needing spacers? Trying to avoid doing that and I think some are getting these soecs but not using spacers? Could possibly be because they may not be as low as you? I plan on getting port installed HAS and leaving the height they way they have it (10mm)?

Generally speaking as these cars get lower, they pick up camber which tucks the upper section of the wheel and tire inward. The rates at which this changes per mm of drop is different for the front and rear, but a lower car will make the same widths and offsets look less aggressive because of the static camber change.

Expert@ApexWheels - I’m looking to order some wheels for my G87 M2 and looking at options. Will mostly be a street car, but maybe I’ll do an HPDE here and there (I have a dedicated track car so emphasis will be mostly street for the M2).

Lowered on MP HAS kit and contemplating the CSL +1 negative camber wheel carriers or Vorshlag camber plates.

Initial thought was 19x10 +12mm with 285/35/19 PS4S and 20x11 +18mm with 305/30/20 PS4S.

Also thinking of 20x10 +8mm with 285/30/20 and 20x11 +18mm with 305/30/20 PS4S.

Alternative tires would be Yokohama AD09s.

I know both of those should be fine according to the fitment guides, but I’ve seen some pictures of the 20x10 with 285s front and the front tires looks like they might poke a little. It’s only 4mm difference in offset, so not sure if it was just the angle of the photo or what. The Apex pictures don’t seem to show any poke on the 20x10 with 285 (plus, if I increase camber, I know that’ll help with any poke on the topside of the tire).

Question is - what about running a 20x11 +18mm with a spacer with a 295/30/20. Lets me get a little bit more tire up front with a square wheel set up. I figure that would work since I see 295s and 305s being run up front, but the 295/30/20s are a bit larger diameter (27” OD).

Maybe it’s not worth the trouble, but curious if anyone has tried it. A 295/35/19 is also a possibility.

I'm running a 295/30/20 on the rear OEM wheels with a 12mm spacer and I think the poke is just right. But then again I'm not lowered.

To my knowledge, no one has tried this (square 20x11 ET18). It's not a fitment I would recommend at all. People do run 19x11 ET22 square occasionally, but it requires modifications to the front alignment (aftermarket camber plates), fender liners, and spacers. The benefit of the 19" setup is that it gives great tire choices for track use once you've modified the car to get that setup to fit up front.

In the case of the 20x11s, the wheels will be heavier and tire selection worse. You'd still need to do all the modifications to get them to fit which isn't suited to a mostly street setup. One other thing to keep in mind is that the tire heights aren't ideal in a 20" square fitment with the 11s. Those that are running either our 19x10.5 ET18 square or 19x11 ET22 square have to run shorter tires for front clearance in most cases (295/30-19 or 305/30-19). This translates to something like 295/25-20 or 305/25-20. These sizes aren't ideal both in terms of tire availability and the extremely short sidewalls.

Lastly, if you're concerned about poke with the 20x10 ET8s, the poke is going to be more severe with 20x11 ET18, especially once you add say a 5mm front spacer and it becomes an effective offset of ET13.

The staggered fitments you proposed would be fine, but if you were interested in going square, I'd highly recommend going to 19s. The tire choices are more varied there, the wheels and tires themselves are more affordable, and we have other wheel fitments like the 19x10.5 ET18 if you want to get more aggressive without compromising the sidewall height.

Do we know if the 19x11 fits with the stock spring perch and camber plates, vs a has kit that has a smaller bottom perch ?

Asking this question without listing a tire size is a bit risky. Lets assume you're targeting 305/30-19 track tires as if you were planning on using 295s or a street tire, our 19x10.5 ET18 would be a better wheel in most cases.

19x11 ET22 will always need front spacers. I believe Jackie Ding ran a 12mm front spacer with the OE shock and spring setup initially along with a bunch of camber up front, around -3.5°. I haven't seen a HAS kit used with these wheels, but I'd suspect that their clearance is worse than the OE setup because the perches will sit lower down along the strut assembly more directly in the path of the wheel and tire. This is a guess though, not gospel. Wider spacers means more camber needed and more rubbing along the fender liner vent areas which will almost always need trimming or modifying with 11 square and appropriately sized tires.

1. No more concern than the same wheel with a 295/30-19. You’re trading a bit of extra tire width for a taller option. There is still a good chance of needing front spacers, around 5mm in width if I had to guess. People already run 285/35-19 square on our 19x10 ET12s front and rear with good results.

2. I’m not sure which wheel you’re referring to here. We make a 19x10.5 ET18, but we do not make a 20x10.5 ET18 or any 20x10.5” wheel in G87 specs. I do understand your question though and the answer is yes in some cases. For example, let’s look at the 18x10.5 ET18 and 19x10.5 ET18. With the same width and offset, the 19” wheel inner lip might contact the strut instead of the tire hitting on the strut. The 18s can also have contact because of their smaller overall diameter since the entire strut assembly is inserting into the wheel at an angle. A smaller diameter wheel moves the lip of the wheel downward more. So it can get better or worse depending on the area that is touching.

No worries! The Supercar 3Rs are big tires. I've only dealt with them in the smaller sizes like 275/35-19 and 18 but they tend to run quite wide. In some fitments they measure as wide as the next size up fairly easily. TLDR, be careful. You might need a thicker spacer or more camber. Great tire though!

Got mine in yesterday. FYI for anyone ordering it's not a signature required delivery. I was definitely planning to receive mine when they arrived. Thankfully.

I stuck with the near stock stagger setup 19x10 front and 20x11 rear in Motorsport Gold. I didn't want to toss out my stock Star Spec Michelin PS4S tires. This will be my 'summer' set of wheels and tires. My G87 has the stock suspension btw.

Hopefully get the tires mounted and get some pictures in the next few weeks. Look forward to seeing how it feels with these forged wheels.
