I'm 44
I bought my first new car in 2004, an Acura RSX Type-S. It is still my daily driver, 20 years later. It's still fun to drive. The G87 will have big shoes to fill in a couple of weeks. |

I did the same inquiry on Z4 owners, who are literally the oldest sports car owners out there. One thing that also surprised me was M3 owners are on average (and median) younger than M2 owners.

I wonder with the C8 if the average age of vette owners will go down. I am not surprised that their age is up there as older model vettes seem to be driven by retired guys on a perfect Subday afternoon lol.

I called that my quarter life crisis and bought a 2013 e93 at the time. Man, that was a great car! Good thing too because got married a couple years later and one, two, three kids and eventually in 2018 (and then 2023) got back into an M3. Enjoy the crisis!!

Some of you guys must have buku bucks lol. I only make about $200k/yr. Buying a Porsche brand new just isn't in the cards for me until I double my income, and even then, I have no purchase history so I'll never get an allocation for a GT car. I'll have to buy one used.

Wow, 20 yrs and going!! I also bought a new 04 RSX Type-S. My first 6spd car. That was a fun little car! Traded in my 01 prelude for it (first car).

Guys, stop comparing incomes. You need to be a millionaire in net worth to buy a $200k 911 unless you make $500k and have significant equity potential.
Be happy with yourself and enjoy your M car. It's for the masses and/or those of us with other priorities. |

My last vacation was two years ago on Wednesday. I work 60-80 hours a week. I take investors calls 7 days a week from 9am until as late at 8PM. Super high stress environment.
Trust me when I say I earn every penny. For context, in 2020 I made $38k. Took a huge risk, completely changed careers, and I did really well in my current field. I nearly tipled my income in 2021 and almost doubled it the next. This year I'll beat last year, but not by any kind of multiple. Started my first business this year as well. Add that to the mix and I really work almost 24/7. I don't think I make enough for the amount of work I do haha. Hopefully in Q1 I can finally take a vacation again. |
