A spade is not a hammer, it is a spade. The G87 M2 doesn’t have the shove of the F87c at lower revs and no amount of anger or rebuttal will change that fact. You and I will be accepting that reality and be at peace.

Love that car. Have only seen one at the auto show, never on the road. It looked so badass from every angle.

Saw one years ago heading back home on I-70 East in Maryland. It was traveling westbound and I nearly broke my neck looking at it for as long as I could, it looked amazing.

Otherwise great car without TH talking about it. Was always fun to see 918 on test runs when living in Stuttgart.

I get it that they were trying to be "Jeremy Clarkson funny", but they don't know how to pull it off. When the BMW team puts such effort in delivering an enthusiast small coupe, fighting all the market trends, to have 2 dudes make crass and baseless comments on the appearance is just over the line. Commenting on the looks of the fronts of BMWs was original 3 years ago. Now it is just boring.

They should be put on the freezer by BMW and excluded from future press cars until they change their ways.

There is a way to be constructively critical. There is a way to funny. That review was not it. Shame.
What a clown take. Lmao.

I actually decided to try out the M2 because of the throttlehouse video and I ended up buying it.

While I don't agree with some of the subjective conclusions their video, I think its accurate enough. I love when reviewers shit on cars, because that's often when you get the most honest input regarding the positives. Reviewers in love with a car often miss flaws that I might care about and overhype the good. Based off their review, the M2 was everything I hoped it would be.

Many differing opinions here, some ludicrous, some tongue in cheek. There was a time when people bought a car because they either drove it and liked it or they liked the way it looked. I started liking bimmers as a wee lad around early primary school age. Neighbor drove a 2002Tii and a few E30 325IS's on the island and it stood out to me. Later when I came to the USA, the enthusiasm grew and I bought my first BMW. A mint E36 318IS 5 speed, sub 60k miles. I didn't need a magazine then for persuasion to commit.

Today, I watch YT vids for entertainment mostly. Nevertheless, TH nor any of these new age influencers have any real influence on what I buy since they're not paying for it. These were the same guys who said they'd take the C43 over the M340i if it was their money, fair enough. For my money I chose the M340i and have zero remorse.

Moral of the story, buy what you like and stop making decisions or being upset base on YT content. TH is entitled to their opinion, it shouldn't be taken as gospel. Some of these folks will say anything for clicks. Controversy and outlandish theories etc makes for great marketing tools these days.

Nice into on this video.

I did like that they said that they had been ranting for some time on cars getting heavier and heaver.

Then complain about NVH in their test cars that are old, or original, or classic - use whatever term you want.

At least our cars aren't F1 cars.

f87 m2cs has the same 1/4 mile trap speed as the g87 ? both are doing 120mph across the line.

I realize that mathematically we may all get to the same place. But in terms of 'feel' the M2C felt like it died and was being strangled up top.

The s58 feels alive up top. My point is they are just tuned differently and people should buy what they like. I can tell you I dont 'kick down' in 4th at 20 mph and don't know many people who do so IDGAF about the 'it feels slow at 20 mph' bs.

This can't be overstated. Reving the S55 was not super rewarding and kind of pointless above 5-5.5k. I feel like most people bitching haven't driven the F87 M2C.

The W14 is just over 18ft. Which is now actually a bit shorter than a suburban

There is also the slight difference in weight - 800kg vs over 2600kg. Also power to weight ratio is about 8 times better in the W14 vs a Suburban.

Haha yeah I just heard GR bitching about the size of F1 cars these days and then saw these meme pop up and it gave me a chuckle about how everyone bitches about the size and weight of cars these days.
