For example ZF 8HP65 is an 8 speed ZF rated to 650 Nm and ZF 8HP70 is an 8 speed ZF rated to 700 Nm
G87M2 is rated to 460bhp/405 lb-ft (550 Nm) while G80M3 is rated to 503bhp/479 lb-ft (650 Nm)
Is there anywhere we can see it stated which version of ZF8 is in which car?

M2 and M4 CSL use the same part number (24-00-5-A90-069) GA8HP76Z transmission: https://parts.bmwnorthwest.com/p/BMW...005A90069.html

M3 & M4 Comp use a different part number (24-00-5-A90-062), but still a GA8HP76Z transmission: https://parts.bmwnorthwest.com/p/BMW...005A90062.html

Personally would like the steering wheel leather wrapped. Don’t see it happening as an option.

I mean a modern WRX isn't really a WRX anymore (IMO), so why not?

Super underwhelming upgrades.. no news of hood, trunk, any of the cool stuff
wow that means that with the same upgrades you mentioned the G87 is gonna be a lil beast, nice

M2 CS sighting are becoming more frequent as BMW continues testing the highly anticipated G87 model. Here are the latest spy pics.

One of the reasons I haven’t ordered them. They look killer and are very affordable, but holy how that’d be a brutal cleaning every wash. The stock wheels are bad enough.

Ceramic coating and aftermarket brake pads should help

Looks like it. I think I've seen some Porsche with a cage as a factory option. Wouldn't be surprised if they put one in the M2 CS "clubsport"

They do cut down on dust, but could be an expensive liability for track days. As this article says, they may not last as long on track as initially designed: https://www.carscoops.com/2019/03/wa...for-track-use/

I met a chap at a track day a few years ago with a 911 991 Turbo S who said he was only getting 5 track days between brake jobs, he said it was costing him a lot more for brake maintenance than all his other operating costs put together.
