Incidentally, I think you can put your VIN number into some of the truck carriers that BMW uses to get an accurate status on the shipping. I have seen posts about it on the forum. The madness never stops 😎

If any of you guys have details and links on how to track trucks and when, please feel free to share. I spent so much time researching vessels and schedules that once we finally got a ship, I had to take a break from it 😅

I think you go to “United Road” website and put in your vin. That is one of the more common carriers used. The other one is “Deluxe Auto Carriers”, but I’m not sure they let you track by vin.

Morning Update

Rounded the south point of NJ, coming up to AC right now.
Winds are in fact coming straight south right now so speed is only about 14.3knts

Distance remaining (estimate because the track feature isn't working properly for EWR?) is a little over 100 nm. So a bit over 7 hours remaining at 14knts.

Looks like it COULD be in port by EOD (work day)!

Yes. It got unloaded but it hasn't been assigned to a car carrier yet for delivery. I think those on the Condor have though.

Looking at my dealership in transit inventory, they show 12 3&4 series coming from Mexico + another dealership in the state shows 4. That should be enough to full a carrier and this does not include make to order deliveries like myself so I’m expecting a quick turn provided there are no issues at the port Here’s to hoping for a weekend deliver.

For those dropped off in Baltimore, I just called Genius. My dealer is in Durham, NC and Genius said I’m scheduled to get on a truck on Wednesday, 11/22. They then estimate to the dealer in 24 hours…which of course is Thanksgiving. So I’m hoping I can take delivery Friday or Saturday, but I’m sure it will be busy.

Just wanted to give others an idea of timelines.

Same here! Got dropped off in Baltimore and Genius says it's scheduled to get on a truck on 11/22. My order includes a few port installed options, including the MPE, so they must be getting to work on that quickly.

All you NY/NJ port arrivals are so close!
