I’m stoked!

I’ll post some pics in a bit of the old BSM G87 and do an explanation to what we are looking at in them.

So many of you may have remembered me in here with my BSM G87 that I had modded at EAS and 2 days later someone hit and ran my baby while parked.

Turns out the chassis was severely swayed on impact and everything was pushed over internally (whatever that means, I’m not a tech).

I was so distraught about the situation that I took some time away from here to get my mind right and just drop in to read occasionally, but not engage in conversation as you can imagine it hurts not having your G87 with you lol.

I started casually browsing the market to see what’s been out there (I wasn’t looking to buy just yet), but nothing was as specked to my liking as my original BSM. She was a 6MT specked to the gills besides the bucket seats (I regretted this decision and would have thrown in Recaro seats if I still had her).

But then…it seemed to almost fall into my lap. I was Inquiring about another G87 sitting on the lot (not my taste and lacking the features I love but eh I called anyways just to talk). I asked “do you know of anything cool coming in in the future?” The sales manager told me about a ZB full carbon pack 6MT that was sitting AT THE PORT ready to drop at the dealer.

No name was on it.

This was my opportunity. As we know carbon packs are postponed for the most part and believe me when I tell you, a 6MT carbon pack that ISN’T accounted for already is impossible to get in the US. This had to be the only one I assume. It wasn’t even on the website yet, just fluke thing that he told me in conversation.

He told me he reached out to a select few others about it but no reaction from them yet.

Boom, closed.

I’m now the proud owner of a new ZB G87 carbon pack 6MT with lighting package and HUD. My EXACT speck plus I now get the carbon buckets I regretted not getting in the first place. I pick her up tomorrow, she’s waiting for me in the show room after PDI with a “sold” sign on her.

Papers are signed and I’m excited to be back in the saddle. It’s been a ride. As for my old G87, we are still going through the insurance steps necessary, but it’s looking very good. I did not want to lose this car as I would have if I had waited 30 minutes longer. Hopefully I can salvage some parts off the old one. And if not, fresh starts are fine (just not as fine for the check book).

I’m just thankful to be back.
Everything happens for a reason. Your car being totaled might have been a blessing in disguise.

Congrats, and sorry about the accident! This is my exact spec that im waiting for. How do you like the ZF blue coming from the black. Looks like you won the tire lottery as well. I fought to get the buckets as well. Im glad you went that direction, ive driven in them in both my brother and friends M3. Great seats!
Congrats on the new ride, looks beautiful!

Congrats on yours coming as well. I am a huge proponent of the BSM, but the ZB has grown on me significantly after seeing it in person and now owning it.

When paired with the right wheel setup and some new lower springs, it looks so pretty and stands out amongst the crowd. The BSM had a very stealth fighter look, but also blended in a bit as most black cars do.

I’m going to be stealth PPF’ing it with STEK DynoMatte, roof and diffuser + grill in regular gloss. The frozen ZB will probably be my favorite look.

I have seen every color now in person, and I think BSM, ZB, and TR are my top 3.

Hi 👋
Congrats, I love my BSM but am warming up more and more to TR, hope I see one in person soon. I just love how sometimes it looks orange.

Yeah the stealth on the ZF looks great. Just not in my budget to add another 7-9k. I will likely do just the standard front package PPF. I ordered the port installed MP suspension so I am super happy about not getting it with the atrocious SUV ride height haha. Black is way harder to clean as well. Please post some pics once everything is done. Thanks dude

I’m having stealth done next week on the ZF blue and will post some pics. I’m getting a solid deal as this is my 3rd car I’ve sent to my PPF shop which does insanely good work. I’m $6k out the door with it.

STEK DynoShield + Ceramic Coating and Rear Lip

Hey all! Got my G87 back from my detail shop this week. Full STEK DynoShield PPF with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra ceramic coating. Also had them throw on the AutoTecknic rear lip spoiler I picked up during black friday sales to go with the mirror caps. Installing TuxMats and my radar detector mirror tap tonight. Last thing for now will be to have the 826M's powdercoated an light gold or bronze. Only another 1000 miles until break-in service...lol!

Took the car put for some proper driving today. I'm not to break in yet so not accelerating too hard but I took some corners pretty fast. I admit being scared at the speeds I was entering them but as soon as I turned the wheel and the car gripped I was so happy. The car is so much fun.

Anyone else feel like the steering is a little squirrelly when the chassis is in Sport+ and braking kinda hard? Not sure if it's me not knowing I'm pulling the wheel or the front wheels gripping into the grooves of the road.

Adding this: first time using chassis in Sport+ was also the first time I was hitting the brakes really hard. Maybe nothing to do with the setting.

Looks nice, where did you source the grill material? My car is months away but how easy was it to get in there to work? Like many I don't like that exposed section and am going to do something there.

I was thinking of using something like this: Gloss Black Diamond Grill Mesh Sheets but will need touching up from time to time, and that plastic stuff will hold up.

Im assuming you're not braking mid-turn. That will def get you to step the rear end out. Sport plus should allow more stability but will def allow more slip as well. Make sure youre not braking, especially hard in the middle of the turn or while turning. Good way to spin or lose control. This car is meant to turn and rotate, just get used to the mechanics of the car and itll become more predictable.

I received and installed my lip today. First cosmetic mod for me just to complete the front end. I went cheap as it will most likely just get destroyed. I think this one is pretty good. I don't think lowering the car in the future will be smart to do.

If not lowered, why does the lip look like its almost dragging the road?
