I'll take a shot. Today is Star Trek day, 55 years ago today the first episode aired. Take the plunge for that alone, what's the worst that can happen, you lose 2 hours or you get 2 hours of enjoyment.

Saw Don’t Breathe 2 in theaters today. Was alright. The 1/3 was the Don’t Breathe everyone knows and loves: that tension, silence, uneasiness that drapes over the audience. It’s scary yet calming somehow. The second one started off good but then fell off about mid-way. Enjoyed it but I prefer the first one much more.

That’s what I was thinking too when I learned of the sequel.

The Brendan Fraser ones are good. So is the Tom Cruise one IMO. The mummy in the latter one was played by Sofia Boutella, who I thought was really good. She was also in Atomic Blonde with Charlize Theron, another good movie.

Do not, under any circumstances, put yourself through the 2 hour misery that is this movie. One of the worst things I've ever seen. I'd rather listen to my daughter throw a tantrum for 2 hours than watch this atrocity again.

I blame society. Everyone always jumps for joy when they see my daughter wearing a pretty dress, calling her a princess. But nobody ever says anything if she's wearing a cool outfit that I've picked out for her. So what do you think she's going to do? She's going to go around and dress like a princess and watch crappy live action remakes of Disney princess movies.
