Most listings are bogus for sure but for those who want the car it takes constant effort and you only have to get lucky once

True. I myself pre-ordered way before official release and waited 17 months to get mine. For those jumping on later, it can be a slog. Good luck out there!

Chapman had 6 listed, and they’re BS too. I don’t think this guy is wrong when it comes to dealer listings.

Agreed about Chapman. Dirtbags. However, I’ve done business with the company mentioned for a number of years and all my experiences have been positive. No issues whatsoever. Now, are their listings bogus? Don’t know, I simply posted an FYI based on knowing a handful of employees there.

Paid my deposit. Told it’d be 12+ months. Now for the wait.

Over the years I’ve bought 1 from BMWNS, and 4 from Chapman, all 5 from the same CA. Never a bad experience with either of them. This will be the 5th from Chapman. I can’t say what this experience will be like until it’s done, but so far it’s going well.
I never really got a real explanation for why the 6 M2’s are listed, and it didn’t really matter because it seems the allocation situation is the same story everywhere. Maybe it’s more about the CA than the dealer. I’ve trusted mine since day one and have never been let down.

I mean it's not about being negative, it's just the truth. When I went the first 3-4 rounds of allocations without getting one, I checked in on 10-15 HEA cars listed on the aforementioned sites and that was the case for pretty much all of them. The only exceptions being cars with large markups.

For those still searching, by all means call and email dealers with listings but don't get your hopes up. You could get lucky with someone backing out and a listing being legit but at this stage that is going to be pretty rare.

I know we have different CA's but same place and I got to say the experience has been excellent. However, I did notice some of the time they will list cars on the site that were purchased/ ordered in advance so while it's technically true they will be in inventory (albeit temporarily) they're not actually available.

Hopefully we both have a good experience to report when it’s all wrapped up, but glad it’s going well for you too. Hear anything on an allocation yet? Has to be some news coming soon for August I would assume.

I was talking him today and they had not gotten the next round yet but they have been getting at least 2 each month it seems. Next week will likely be the next few. Buttoned up the changes to the build and the port installed options and still on schedule for production the week of 8-21 as of now at least.

Very nice! So close you can almost taste it! Keep me posted when you hear about your allocation. I bet you’re glad to have it all wrapped up so you can just right into the process as soon as it comes up. Hopefully I’m right behind you.

Agreed, but they do tend to gather inquires, leads.

Delivery!

Car just arrived at the dealer, and I can pick up by Tuesday! Just sold my 2015 F82 M4 today, so perfect timing. 53 days from allocation to delivery is pretty good!

I should have specified, I meant through BMW Financial. I know they still offer lower rates on new non-M cars, but couldn't find anything on their site about the M cars.

I just got 5%/48mo through a CU on my lease I just bought out. Curious if BMW Financial is offering any better than that.

It's been a few weeks, but IIRC I got 4.99 on a 60 month buy from BMW FS, not lease.

I can confirm this is the case, as a CA told me that dealers in my area list 100% of the cars on Autotrader to draw attention, even if they are already sold.

I was offered 5.99% for 60 months by BMW Financial in June. It was higher for 36, 48 and 72 months.

Does anyone know when new allocations officially transition to the 2024 model year? The USA website still shows MY23, but we have to be getting pretty close at this point.
