Fantasy Engine

If you could build any engine for your E90, what would it be?

Mine would be:

10 Liter SOHC V10 4 valves per cylinder VTEC mounted laterally and converting the E90 to front wheel drive.

Bold = LOL

Honest answer, a huge displacement big block race engine. Similar to what big red camaro uses.

LOL. I would want a big block too or at least something fairly big in displacement. I wish BMW would build a big naturally aspirated V8 like an AMG C63 but that would probably make the car drive not like a BMW

The motor in it is fine now. Just needs to be poked and stroked to a relatively safe displacement :O.

Dat transverse W16 FWD conversion. 70/30 weight distribution. Ultimate plowmobile.

Favorite dream engines can already be found in other cars. I love the 4.0L metzger in the older GT3 RS4.0, the LFA's V10, or possibly the flatplane crank V8 coming up in the new GT350. Sounds like a screamer.
