I would have them check out the Aura/Malibu. It isn't a bad vehicle. The 3.6 V6 from the CTS in FWD from making 252 HP and 251 lb of torque mated with a 6 speed auto. I haven't had any major issues with my '07 Aura XR and I love it.

Used Lexus ES or new Camry or Accord. Altimas are great cars as well.
You can get a V6 accord for about $25-26k and a loaded one for about $28-29k (same with Camry's). Get a CPO Lexus ES though. THey are so smooth it's not even funny. |

i say either the passat or new honda accord...
i personally like the new accord alot more than camry...the new accord is more powerful and interior space is very good too..if i need to choose from either passat or the new accord i will still go for accord although passat is a good car too.. but i may be biased because i like new accords style more.. passats interior space would be very comfortable for two kids..and the 2.0T is quite powerful as well..and if your friend like to mod car..the turbo is definitly alot funner to play with than the accord

during my valet days in HS, i can't say i've had one positive experience w/ saturns... complete trash cars... rattles on new vehicle(S), etc... don't mean to offend anybody.
VW makes solid cars. The passat is golden. And the Accord is always a solid car. I think if he wants a new car, the new accord would be a great bet -- and it's pretty fast too. As for the TSX, my girlfriend has that car. Great car... but a bit small for 2 kids and a wife. |

Absolutely. I'm selling mine for an E92, but he'll get AWD, some nice power and torque, amazing safety ratings, and decent looks. High moddability too, so he can still hide stuff from the wife. Last edited by AWD Addict; 01-03-2008 at 09:54 PM.. |

Well Saturn has improved a lot. Although controversial, Saturn ditched the polymer side panels( don't let them punch the car!) and uses regular steel sides. I agree though that the S-Series and L Series were not too great of vehicles. Though the Vue is when Saturn's got decent. Still, it wouldn't hurt considering the Aura. Keep an open mind, etc. I haven't had any major issues with mine so far. In comparisons it has beat out the Camry and beat it out for the North American Car of the Year award. You have heard about how "good" the new Malibu is right? The Aura is the same car underneath, but came out a year before the new Malibu.
