Breathing problems during full throttle acceleration

Anyone here experience breathing problems during full throttle acceleration to triple digit speeds with their 335i? Like, gasping for air?

no, not fast enough at all. then again, in all fairness i think you just get used to it. i remember about 3 or 4 years ago when my dad floored his 645ci i couldn't breath. when we were in an m6 i was surprised and sort of unready.

Yesterday I rounded a corner and pushed the pedal to the button and the car "stalled" for a second like an old carburated(sp) motor. Kind of creeped me out.

COuld be DSC, could be the pump, or...turbo lag that, contrary to opinions here, exists on the 335 and is very noticable...

I don't think turbo lag is very noticeable on the 335 at all.

It is noticeable if one focuses on identifying it, for those who know what it is. It is not "very noticeable" as you state compared to other turbos and indeed most drivers, turbolag aware or not, would not notice. Certainly it would not have the impact that Gonzo seems to describe. There is no stall feel associated with it. Maybe you may be more conscious of it but general consensus to include professional reviews considers the lag to be very minimal as opposed to very noticeable.

The professionals did come up with many nonsence reviews before...
I agree, if you focus on that, and the reason I did was because everyone was raving about no turbo lag, it is easy to realize there IS indeed turbo lag...

The same was about the "amazing" sound of the engine that was claimed and I focused on that and realized there is not much difference between the 335 and 328 sound when parked and pressing the pedal. Then I heard the G35 engine (exhaust) sound...

I had a 350Z and the Nissan/Infiniti VQ exhaust note is more "aggressive" for a lack of a better term but becomes unbearable after a while. It is one of the reasons I decided not to keep the Z. I like the more muted exhaust of the BMW and how it rips at full throttle and higher rpms.

I agree with that...and that is also what I like better in a long run...
However, I don't see anything special, magic or different between the 325/328 and 335 exhaust sounds... On the other hand, the G sound was impressive to me at first (so was FX). But this is a different topic...

This was not lag. It was near a stall out feeling. Almost 2 seconds worth of bogging.

Did you have DSC on? It will cut throttle to recover stability. You noted that you went to WOT right out of a corner. It might have compared your steering angle against the projected power output and determined you crossed the bounds.

I push it once every time I start the car.
SSTT w/ BMC filter is all I have. Not WOT.
It did not like something I did.
