IMSA Petit Le Mans
Nice 2nd place finish for the #24 car, but everyone got shafted by the horrible weather. Especially the #25 car with Auberlen at the wheel. They went in for a pit and got caught by the caution that ended ultimately the race. It was positively tragic. BMW were 2nd and 3rd when the #25 pitted just before the final caution. Had the race run to completion, maybe Bill had a shot. Really sucks, but that's racing.
The #911 car was just crazy fast in the wet. Unbeatable, really. To be honest, their run-away performance had me scratching my head a bit. There were occasions where they were laying down faster laps than the DP cars lap after lap. I understand that the GT cars have more mechanical grip, but the #911 car was putting down laps 2-4s faster than anyone else in the field. It just seemed a little out of whack, but whatever. I wouldn't go so far as to accuse them of anything, and I hate to be a sore loser. That closes out the season with Porsche taking the manufacturer and team trophy in GTLM. Congrats to them, and congrats to Tandy for making history, winning both Le Mans and Petit Le Mans.

Looks like BMW took 2nd and 3rd in the GTLM Driver's Championship (Dirk Werner and Bill Auberlen) and 2nd in the GTLM Team Championship (car #25).

Even the Z4 GTLM beat the prototypes! Good race but the 911's had it in the bag -- they started from the rear too (not that it makes it difference for a 10hr race). I've been reading that the BOP regulations have favored Porsche a lot this year and have limited Corvette.

I was there. No fun for the spectators. the balance of performance gave Porsche a huge advantage over all other GT LeMans competitors. And the 912 Porsche kept making mistakes, but not the 911 that needed to make them......
