BMWhat app
I apologise if this has already been asked but i've done a search and i'm unable to find a definitive answer.
Does the engine need to be on when using the app or doesn't it matter? Last week i serviced my car, I would like to reset the service light, do i need to pay the extra £9.99 for this function or can it be done without paying the extra, if so how? The reason i ask is because i've already tried but it didn't work cheers Kev |

Never tried re-setting it on the app but there's no point when you can just scroll along on your indicator stalk and press reset?
You don't need the engine on to code/use bmw whatapp, but I have heard people say it doesn't work for them unless its on but I think that's due to the battery not having enough voltage, it will drop slightly when your using it so that's why people turn the engine on, just depends how healthy your battery is! |

Reset without app.
Insert key but do not start the car. Press the odometer reset button and hold until the yellow triangle warning appears and disappears. Use the BC control buttons and toggle through whatever requires resetting e.g. Oil. Go to oil using up and down scroll. Hold and press BC until it says reset. Confirm the reset. |

So i gave it a go. Got the yellow triangle appear, then i used the BC controls and nothing, just scrolled through the normal menu.
Could it be that i have i drive and its different or am i doing something wrong? |
