Interesting view on both cars, the NSX wins this comparison which is pretty subjective but they didn't mention that the GTR is about half the price.....a lot of bang for the buck there. Both interesting cars, but I don't think I'd buy either if I was paying that kind of money.....my two cents.

Agreed. They have been developing it for almost a decade, maybe more, and this is the best they came up with. A solid car, but doesn't meet the expectations of cars at that price point. I would save a few more dollars and just grab a Ferrari or Lamborghini.

I so wanted the NSX to be like the old NSX. Something analog, fast and communicative. The NSX is a big disappointment in that aspect. It's a "super GT-R"...
I feel like, in modern terms, the NSX should be something like a Carrera GT. Very fast but extremely raw and needs driver skill to control.

Okay, I'm going to be that guy: Is it just me, or are these two hosts getting progressively worse?

The NSX is a pretty disappointing car in my opinion. Especially when you consider that it was going to originally come with an atmospheric V10 capable of making 500-600hp, which was scrapped for a few reasons. One primary reason being the economy. It's been on the grape vine too long as well, but I think if Honda had put forth the effort, they could've retained the original motor and combined it with their electric motor system. I think that would've been the nsx's saving grace, and it definitely would've made the NSX deserving of the current price it commands.

I hated this video. Was it supposed to be about the cars or the hosts? I hope they move to focus more on the cars featured.

Nothing will be like the old NSX. Designed by Senna will truly be a legendary car. I like the new design but for that price point I would get the gtr and set aside mod $$.

GTR is very very ugly which should be considered. @ 200k the NSX? is way overpriced. Neither will ever be considered over an R8 or even a Z06 as a sports car only for that matter. This is just a class of cars that simply does not interest me. I still feel the M5 is the best overall car in the 100k price range, looks, practicality, performance, looks, looks and looks, it just cant be matched. I love a well rounded vehicle, hence owning an X5M.

I have owned an X6M and 3 GTRs and the Nissans were infinitely more fun than the Bimmer.

I get the GTR and NSX are faster but honestly they have a lot more to worry about on the road then i do. Ive never felt so confident in a car's chassis as i do the X5M, nothing shocks it and it eats corners with ease. Its really been a pleasure to own thus far. MTs review of the GTS says all i'm trying to say but in an exaggerated degree of course. |

Sorry if you ruined your screen spitting liquor all over it. What cars are that much better to make you do that? Surely the M5 would be in almost anyones list of best alll around cars at the 100k price point. So for it to be such a shock to you, you must have a nice extensive list which does not include the M5 anywhere near the top.

Ideally, I'd have the weekend fun car for personal fun use and something more practical for every day.

I think the 100K car on the market is a 911. The performance, refinement, usability, driving dynamics, pedigree, and quality is just in a league of it's own. It offers a truly unique character and driving feel that no other car replicates at any cost. An M5 at the end of the day is a nicer, faster 5 Series. |
