Feeling empty inside

Lost my first cousin Friday he was only 25.
Now I have no desire feeling empty sick no words can describe
I just don't know, I don't care about anything
I was suppose to have lunch with him yesterday
only thing I have now sliding trough txt messages thinking and hoping he will text me.

Sorry to hear that boss. That must be very difficult to cope with.

Try an think of what you're cousin would want you to do and how he would want you to feel.

Think about the good times you had and realized those memories will never be taken from you.

It'll be difficult, but try and stay positive.

Exactly. You had the privilege to spend the time with him that you did and nothing, not even the way you are feeling now, can take that away from you. Ever.

Condolences. Nothing said now will really help as only time heals--try to bring family and friends around. The loss will never go away but it will numb over time.

Really sorry for your loss. Take time to grieve. Only time will heal. You'll never forget him but the pain will get a little easier.

Stay strong, OP. Focus on the good times you shared with your Cousin. Those memories will keep him alive in your heart.

Losing close friends and family is always a difficult event to deal with, so at any time you are feeling drained or weak, reach out to the people you trust and love so they can lend you their strength and you all will get through these difficult times together.

As you can see, we are all here for you as well. Time will heal the pain, so spend that time with your loved ones and you will all heal together.

As others have said; stay strong. Focus on the good times. Whenever I've had a loved one pass, I always focus on silly moments. The simple thought of us laughing forced me to physically smile. Which, I believe, helped more than any other memory.

Just sit back, think of all the awesome times you had with your cousin, & say to yourself "Damn those were good times".

Man that's shit. That's grief, it does this to you. Cliché but time WILL heal, don't kid yourself, you won't get 'over' it, but time makes it feel better. It's just crap right now.

Buddy my most sincere and utter condolences. I've recently lost someone close to me as well and the feeling of nothing else matters anymore is inevitable. For a week straight, I did not want to go anywhere. I didn't each much. I didn't sleep much. I cried sporadically and I can barely pick myself up and go to a grocery store. In time, I've realized that it's not about what has ended but what has happened that matter the most. Yes, it still gets me whenever I think about the person. But on the plus side, I am glad that I forever met the person and had the memory that I had. Time will heal everything. Grief is part of the healing process, so don't hold anything in. Best of wishes bud.

I STILL remember this when my older "brother" died as a senior in high school. Dave still lives in my heart all these decades later.

By Mary Elizabeth Frye

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Passing of a loved one can be hard. Seeing a therapist could definitely help. It did for me
