Was chauffeured in a 740iL today
Went to Melbourne for the day for business. We have a corporate car service when travelling and today it was a 740iL. Been in plenty of S-Classes, and an old 7 series, but never a current 7.
My E90 being my first BMW, what struck me most was the instant familiarity with the interior, how beautiful it was in the flesh in comparison to photos, how much of a relationship there really is with our E90s. What I have to say surprised me the most, was how familiar many of the "sounds" of the vehicle in operation were... including the distinctive sound of the turbine-like engine (even though it is a V8, you could only really tell when he floored it to get onto the freeway going to the airport). The core of the current BMW DNA was made very evident to me. Seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree afterall

Had a 7 as a loaner for a few days. Fun to see how the other half lives!

My dad and I test drove the 7 when deciding on his next car
We went for the BMW dealership and then drove the MB dealership to drive the new 2007 S class While the new 750 is a very nice car, it has NOTHING on the new S |

A fully loaded 760Li is $AU350,000 + delivery and onroads, or$US252,000. If I packaded one of these babies into my salary, I would sacrifice $AU108,500pa from my gross amount.

Having said that, they borrowed a lot of 7 features, boot, iDrive etc etc.

I want to buy a Lamborghini Murcielago and use that as a NYC fire truck.
