Does dry ice really remove small dents?

Has anyone tried using dry ice to remove small dings or dents...i have seen the video on youtube...but i was wondering if anyone has any real world experience???

The metal would have to be really thin for this to work. In other words, it'll only work on shitty cars.

The metal on the average car is the thickness of 4 sheets of notebook paper. Have you never seen the video of them building an E46> The metal comes of a huge roll, like aluminum foil.

I think if you have a dent that big, the paint is the least of your worries. Besides, more than likely you will be painting it anyway.

I was thinking more along the lines of a door ding...I may try it later today...the only store with dry ice is on the other side of town...

Or....maybe I'll just order some Omaha steaks...they pack those in dry ice

i tried this on a golf ball sized dent on my hood... didn't work. Tried multiple times too. Ended up using the extra dry ice to make fake fog in my living room...

I am sure it works better than the Mobil Dent Repair Mexicans that come to your office promising that they can remove your dents. My boss let them do one on his Expedition and all they did was make it worse. They leave some kind of acetone on it and it really looks like the dent is gone. They tell you to leave it on for 12 hours before you wash it off...
