God no.

Wait... What has China got to do with the new M2?

If this monstrosity of a front bumper does turn out to be genuine I will personally drive to Munich, find the designers at lunch hour to point a finger at them and shout "You're fired"

Hoping it's a leak from the same shop that's doing this

https://www.carthrottle.com/post/bmw...-e60-5-series/

EDIT: This was a joke BTW, in case that was missed

I'm 85% sure it's not genuine. It looks similar to the M3/M4 renders that were floating around here not long ago:

Who knows. You wouldn't think it'd be that big of a departure, but as we saw w/ the elevator pics a long time ago these things have a way of being real.

Someone flag this thread for review in a year... I'll go on record thinking we'll see this be real.

It’s probably bogus if the pics are from China. It would be much more likely that they were real if the pics were from Mexico. Why would they have a G87 bumper in China?

Honestly not surprised if the M2 gets it's own unique headlights at this stage... BMW is all over the place and they already gave the m240i M2 mirrors and a power dome.

M2 will need more...

While I don't doubt the grills may look like that, the front bumper resembles nothing of the G42 so I'm thinking it's false.

Looks real to me, because it carries over the G80/2 design of incorporating the kidney grille bezel into the body. They also have the horizontal louvers just like the M3/4. There's a chance this is a early part and has since been updated, but past experience would indicate this is the final design. Seems BMW designers are on a rampage to make all new M cars absolutely hideous.

Suppliers are used and tend to be used globally. I am not saying this is it. I am not in a position yet to neither confirm or deny?
But leaks come from everywhere.

Very Hommage feel with squared off lights. Would that be an issue?
Given the praise for that concept?
And they did say to expect more differentiation to the M cars from standard M Performance cars.
Look how the 4er is different to the M4 as an example.

And anyway it's BMW...Expect the unexpected.

Ohh man, reading between the lines this all but confirms it's real.

Definitely won’t be an issue if the G87 is a variation of the Hommage design. That was a cool looking BMW concept vehicle.

Which Hommage are we talking about? Don't see anything that even remotely resembles the 2002 Hommage or the CSL Hommage. The 2002 Hommage is epic looking and I wish the upcoming G87 would look like that, but the bottom of this bumper with the huge square cutouts looks nothing like either of the Hommage cars.

If Scott's right and this is the M2 front bumper; then this is the laziest bumper design I've seen
