I checked the BMW tracker this morning and it said my m240i arrived at the dealer. I called and they said I could pick it up today.

Congrats! That's a good-looking car. Let us know how it drives once you get a few miles on it. Did yours have Sirius and wireless charging? Seems you're the first to take delivery of their M240!

For fear of posting more sideways photos on the forum. I will include a link to an album from my google photos. It includes the window sticker.

For those of you asking I asked my Sales Manager three times before I drove the 85 miles to Greenville to pick it up to make sure there wasn't a stop sale until the 20th. I also tried to inquire as to why I was getting mine early and they acted like it was perfectly normal to get my car today.

As far as driving I finally got to really drive on some twisty roads without a salesperson in the passenger seat and wow, it feels incredible! The power is incredible, it continues to give as you ask for more and more.

edit: XM was deleted. I think I am also missing wireless charging, but that one I need to investigate more.

I still love my Golf. Damn BMW for not offering a manual on this but the budget was already stretched getting this, an M2 would not have been a responsible decision.

There's a ton of discussion on the 3 Series forum about the wireless charger. I have it on mine. You're not missing anything if you don't have it. It barely charges the phone, and has overheated mine on numerous occasions.

Currently, this is the only modern BMW that's able to give me the vibes I felt every time I saw a BMW during the 90's.

I remember how I just dreamt that the E30 325i was the perfect driving machine. It radiated fun and it was built for purpose and for those days, mighty quick.

This G42 has this same purpose, it's an incredible desirable machine.
This car screams to be driven with enthousiasm on winding roads.

Just EPIC!

You'll probably notice that the love for the Golf will fade, the more you drive your new baby. After a while, the Golf will feel sluggish: the ergonomics, the vehicle dynamics, the engine response, the connection with the road, the sound/noise, even the transmission... It's just inevitable I guess.

Wow I literally just saw you and your Golf on the road in Asheville! Thought to myself "huh I didn't think those were released yet, cool!

I tried to stick with you guys (was in a blue AMG near Sierra Nevada Brewing) but a stupid clunker van pulled in front at the last minute and took all the turns at 15 mph.
