Let's discuss your ideal spec in this thread. I remember starting one for the F87 and was blasted because I wanted a Gentlemen Racer spec. That would be British Racing Green, gold wheels, brown interior, 6 speed manual. Something akin to the 911R, which evolved into the GT3 Touring.

I would love that combo in the G87. But with Houndstooth carbon buckets and full leather in Cohiba. Since this will be a daily, it will be classy, funky, not too out there, and most importantly fun to drive.
Or on the flip side, give me a GTS spec lol.

That's exactly what I'm hoping for right now. I'm currently torn between ordering immediately or waiting to see what comp brings and individual colors.

I originally want carbon seats, but I'm not sure I can justify them. Time will tell.

I just want a color..IE not black, white or gray and a CF roof. Rest is gravy.
Not sure what trans, that's frankly the toughest decision for me. I'm on 3 lists so i guess i can order 2 or 3 and see which one i like.

Ughh i just got my F87 comp earlier this year but this is making me lust for the G87 even more. Wish they could've offered more colors and interior options for the F.

The F87 Comp is an amazing vehicle. It may go down as the BMW to have. It is lighter than the G87, has more interior space, much better brakes, a real hand brake, and looks amazing both inside and out. I have a feeling it will be a 993 Porsche type situation where people will lust after the car for years to come. So don't worry about it, you have a winner on your hands. The G87 has a lot to live up to. I mean, the 996 was technically better than the 993 but look at what happened to their values...

So I know we have touched on this in one form or another on other threads but what is everyone's guess on price with every box checked? From what I understand from other posts to even get Carbon Bucket seats posters have speculated that you would have to get full merino (spelling) leather which then makes carbon buckets possibly a $6 to $7k upgrade (please correct me if I am wrong).

Is it possible the G87 get to $80k with all options?

I'm curious to learn how you know that the F87 has "much better brakes "? I've never actually seen M car brakes get worse from one generation to the next, and none of the reviews of the prototypes last month said anything negative about them.

No insider information, it's public knowledge. The G87 is on the CLAR platform, meaning it shares a lot of its parts with the G80/2. There are a lot of awesome upgrades compared to the F series cars, but also downgrades, like no more DCT and the brakes (saves a lot of money).
F87C brakes: 400mm 6 piston front, 380mm 4 piston rears.
G87 brakes: 380mm 6 piston fronts, 370mm single piston floating caliper rear (basically, it doesn't exist).

xDrive and 4 pot rear calipers. Even my Camaro has 4 pots in the back, emergency braking can be scary on the highway, and the balance makes a massive difference in the control.
