Post G87 M2 document info provided at The BMW Performance Center

This was all the information that was provided at yesterday’s 50th M Anniversary event. The BMW NA Rep on hand did not really appear to know anything or he was instructed not to divulge anything.

*NOTE that it states “M2 Competition badging on trunk lid” The 16th bullet down. Also note the “fine print.”

Edit, That is ZB in the background.

Just the fact it says m2 competition makes it seem like this was made by an intern and half the things are probably wrong

Edit, it also states that the car has M seatbelts as standard equipment, yet this one did not.

It's still hard to discern, but do we know for a fact, yet, that moonroof is standard, and only way to get rid of it is carbon roof (USA)?

Let hope they are wrong about the carbon roof too! Should be standard.

Unfortunately we do not. Personally I believe that I would prefer a steel roof.

Same. I really don't want to be forced into the carbon roof just to get rid of a moonroof.

Would be nice however the Canadian Order Guide has the M Carbon Roof as a standalone option (40C) w/ suggested MSRP 1,900 CAD.

It is definitely not as it is already listed internally at BMW NA for $2600.

If we go via the document above it appears that the carbon buckets will only be available via the carbon fiber package. I am all but certain that is going to be pricey.

Yes, the carbon bucket seats in Canada are part of the M Carbon Pack (ZBN) w/ a suggested MSRP of 13,000/12,500 CAD.

FYI, I have heard that the U.S. ordering guide is coming this week. No specific date, but it is happening sometime during the business week. Sorry, that is all I have as I would love to share an actual date.
