Does your gas pedal have a strong resistance point?
Most cars these days have a detent or resistance point at the bottom of the pedal when you floor it, basically a switch to drop down to the lowest gear. On my 2023 M240i the resistance point at the bottom seems to be very stiff and catchy. Almost like it's getting caught on a plastic ridge preventing it from having a smooth stroke. The resistance point has a very audible plasticky sound as shown in the video below, this is with the car off. Are you guys experiencing the same thing?
With the car off you, you press the gas pedal with your hand and you can feel/hear the resistance point.

I own 2022 m240i and I noticed mine does have a point of resistance but I thought this was normal, it’s only there when you try to floor it softly , if a floor it with some force I don’t ever notice it

Automatic cars have had the kick-down function for as long as I can remember (been driving since the mid 70s!)
