Griot's vs Adam's
Any thoughts on Griot's products vs Adam's products?
I know Adam's is known for great customer service, but I'm wondering if their products and much better/different than Griots.

I’ve used Griot’s my entire adult life. No experience with Adam’s but always been very satisfied with Griot’s on our entire fleet. Great results with reasonable effort. To summarize their products just work.

I also just realized I can get a 25% vet discount at Adams, so I suppose I could just compare/contrast pricing on similar products and go from there. They probably comparable in many ways otherwise.

vs. i personally like adams. i used to use a ton of griots products until i branched out and tried other brands. now the only griots product i use is their speed shine and random orbitals/pads
from adams i use: interior detailer ceramic coat spray APC super VRT (tire dressing) there are better products then adams but at their price point they offer good stuff.

If I recall, Griot's and their owners are BIG BMW Car Club of America supporters and host quite a few events at their corporate offices. If you flip through their catalog, the older BMWs shown are Paul Bishop's cars.
But seriously, unless you are doing concours level shows, Griots or Adams or McGuiars will work well. |

Personally, I use a mix of stuff I try not to limit myself to one brand. I have some items from Adams, Griots, P&S, Ammo, Gyeon. I just like to try new things and stick with whatever impresses me the most

Can’t really go wrong with either, but better products are available. I haven’t tried many of the new products but still use Adams car wash shampoo and the tire and rubber cleaner. Griot’s Rubber cleaner is also good. However, I also use other brands like Koche Chemie, CarPro, Gtechniq, P&S, Sonax and OG to name a few. Part of the fun of detailing is trying out new products. User experience and product performance are the biggest criteria for me.

I still like a few of Adams products, but have phased several out for better products that are usually the same price or cheaper. It makes me uneasy seeing Adams products on the shelf at Autozone next to Chemical Guys (call me a snob if you want). In the detailing world, when a company gets too big, they start transitioning into a marketing company and the products usually suffer because that's when the innovation stops and the gimmicks start.
P+S is my go to for quality products that are affordable especially when purchased in bulk. |

Griots is in-house too right? Adams buys from B&B like most do?
Griot's boss line is fantastic. They're above Adams for me. Adams is like Chemical guys. Good (because it comes from B&B).

Far more top quality than Griot's? No, I don't think so. Ceramic coatings sure, Griot's only has the waterbased sio2 sprays, but not a full line of products like they do.

Adams, P&S, Griot's, Koch Chemie, Car Pro, etc - all really great options. The newer Adam's Graphene line of products is great IMO. I have seen great things with their new Graphene coating (above their ceramic). I use their graphene tire dressing and it works very well and doesn't sling.

The beauty of car detailing is that there are so many top quality brands to choose from and theres always a product that one brand does better than another. Instead of just sticking to one or two brands why not try a few others.
Brands that I would consider top quality are ( I'm in the UK so some might not be available in the US )... • Autobrite Direct • Car Chem • Gyeon • ValetPRO • Koch Chemie • YumCars • Gtechniq • Autoglym • Bilt Hamber • Garage Therapy |
