M2 0-100 in 3.x low 4 Seconds + exhaust sound, driving, underload, etc from Scottsdal

They film a 0-100 Launch Control sprint which occurs in the 3second range

Take off occurs at around 17.6, seconds and the 100km frame lands at around 21.5. Pretty quick on a road surface!

Also lots of M2 exhaust sounds, driving, underload, etc from Scottsdale in this nicely shot video featuring a ZB M2.

This is the same video footage that was already posted. Someone hijacked it and reposted it.

Ah a repost on YouTube how annoying - do you have the link to the original?

Did anyone check the framea on the launch speed? It's quick!

There seems to be a ton of that.

But that’s with manual right? Auto .5 sec faster most likely?

You can clearly see the paddles in the video when doing the launch control and that the right paddle is being shifted so this was done with an automatic. It’s misleading because the rest of the video shows a manual transmission.

Yeah that’s why I said it’ll probably do .5 sec faster than zero21 best on his manual M2 (his signature) like video showing the car flying up to speed.

I saw launch control so knew it automatic. (To be sure, manual doesn’t have LC right?). And I said .5 faster cause reviewers have been guessing BMW must be doing some creative overboosting with LC on M240i so I’m guessing they could easily do the same with the Auto M2?

Manual does have launch control.

you're forgetting most magazines do a 1 foot rollout. which changes the time. we also dont know the incline/decline grade of the road

Interesting that M2 launches at 1 gear from the video. G80/82 RWD launches at 2 gear I think, maybe because of M2 has lower power so it can achieve so? Well, guess we will have plenty of answer by tomorrow

I'm guessing the de-tune S58 allows it to launch in 1st, while the G80 rwd launches in 2nd and would explain why the G80 appears to be hitting a 0-100km somewhere around a high 3/low 4 second sprint on unprepped road surfaces.
