My M2 is clearly enjoying it’s extended Mexican vacation, as it’s been ‘Ready for transport’ (status 165, per my CA) since 3-30.

Have any custom G87’s left the dock yet?

Hey Andy,

I don’t believe so. You and Game as you know are in the same spot, I’d be curious to hear from any other 1st round people as well. There are 3 vehicle carriers heading into the Eastbound port in Mexico, though I believe at least one is heading to Europe. I’m hoping we all make that ship. There are several G20 folks waiting as well. At least you’re Ready for Transport, as you know I’m still in QC…I’ve heard rumors there will be ship movement to Eastern seaboard ports the end of this week/beginning of next, fingers crossed and all that shit.

Only the good stuff for us! I'm right there with you. I called the Genius line to get an update and they had none. Joy. Call my dealer was the advice I was given. So I did. Dealer said perhaps the Genius line can help. Joy.

I also asked the Genius line if the car was waiting for a boat or a train, knowing that I am in Connecticut and the car is likely going to the Newark, NJ port. I was told it could go by boat. Or by train. And then I, for some unknown reason, thanked the person who helped me.

Every bimmer I've ordered (from Germany) has taken on average 1~2 weeks to get loaded onto a ship. It could still sit there for several days or even week/s as they pack in all the cargo before it eventually gets out to sea. They also have to contend with the ships scheduling and what port they're headed to, etc. I imagine it's no different coming from Mexico but at least the transport time should be shorter.

Wouldn’t they normally offload UK cars at Southampton, before unloading at Bremerhaven and loading North American bound BMWs? Although perhaps they stop at Southampton on the way back to pick up North American bound Minis and offload the UK BMWs then.
