Tire pressure for 4S?
What the best cold pressure and what is optimal pressure when warm(aggressive street) for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S?

I've always considered 35psi cold to be the standard. or if you wanna be exact, look at the door jamb and follow those guidelines. I have a tire inflator at home so I usually just run that when my tires are cold to 35psi. if you're stopping at a gas station in the middle of a road trip, then I can see it getting tricky. if you go to the tire pressures on your screen, it will tell you the recommended warm tire pressure as well.

Contrary to the old days when manufacturers recommended low tire pressures (30-32psi) for a soft ride, now they want higher pressures for better fuel economy.
I've always used 36psi cold, but I also find that common dial type gauges can be 1-2 lbs off. So unless you are using a really good gauge, you don't really know what you are setting. |
