That was nice, especially since I learned my car has launch control. Had no clue.

Good vid.

The M2 checks all my boxes. Really is a nice drive.

I am getting contradictory opinions about the manual gearbox, from "feels exactly like in my 135i" to "feels better than in the new M4".

I keep going back and forth on the cognac interior. It's on my order but every time I see the door cards it makes me want to just go with black. I've always wanted a brown interior but the mix of black and the M highlights makes it seem off.

Hmm..."It's a very good car, just know what it is and what it isn't...it definitely is more of a modern M car and less of that classic driver's M type of car that some of you may know and love".

Same boat. Always have had black, want brown, don’t love the look with the door cards.

Still going cognac, though. With ZB and black wheels. I don’t normally like piano black but that will be my interior trim because cognac leather, black dash and seat backs, M2 door cards AND carbon trim is just too busy.

Also, I bet we can always replace the door cards with something more subdued.

I am going with the aluminum trim. I think even the glossy carbon has the potential to get scratched up over time and look like crap. I've always liked the 'dry carbon' in my F87 because of that. I'll probably decide last minute on the cognac interior whenever BMW decides to bless my dealer with allocations.

I chose aluminum, cognac, and toronto. I guess that makes me a weirdo, but I've always been partial to light brown interiors.

That was my original spec. I think it'll be nice.

I was going to choose aluminum trim (it does genuinely look good) but from what I read around here, it's pretty much toast once it scratches since it's exposed plastic. No clear coat to save the pattern.

You are not alone. I choose TR and Cognac as well. Then again, my friends call me a weirdo.

new review from Zygrene. smaller channel but he does good reviews. pushes cars in the canyons to coax out a little bit of oversteer and understeer.

final thoughts at 6 min.

pros: engine is a monster, for the money its a very competent machine on track. says he was initially a hater of the car based on the looks. but the driving dynamics overshadow alot of that.

cons: zf8 is laggy compared to dct. says he's not sure why bmw went this route.

because its been the same trans since the pre-lci 135i. basically it was created for the n54 engine. has been carried over to newer models since then because bmw is too cheap to upgrade.
