Decode the European "Intelligent Speed Adaptation" (ISA) possible?
Hi guys,
so for everyone that watched reviews from EU-spec cars noticed the annoying "bling bling" sound every time you go too fast - or the car thinks you going too fast because it recognized a wrong sign. I know the G87 is not yet official supported by Bimmercode. However is there any known possibility to decode this warning? If not will there a possibility once the G87 will be officially supported? This really is a stupid feature as it also warns you if you drive 51 in a 50 zone and also won't recognize every sign correct. Hope to get some help! |

That statement seems overly broad. At least in the US, it would have to be proven an issue was related to the change made to deny warranty.

That's not going to invalidate the warranty lol.

Also mods never invalidate the warranty itself. They just may be used as justification to refuse certain claims. But the warranty remains and can be used for other claims.
I'm not sure if there is a way to actually wipe out an entire warranty, short of illegally exporting the car or committing a crime with it... crazy shit like that. |

Coding absolutely does not void the vehicle warranty. What hole did you pull that nonsense out of?

My EU car has also that speed limit warning that keep reactivating after each engine start. Keeping for 2 seconds the SET button on the steering wheel turns it off.
I just made some codding with Bimmercode, but it has nothing for this or the lane assist that also keep reactivating itself |

Can any of the European owners shed some light on coding out the sound permanently?
Picked up my car yesterday and on the way home the constant reminders about going 1 km/h over the speed limit literally drove me insane ![]() Got a Bimmercoed ready to go hope it is in there somewhere ![]() Best Regards

Yeah that works exactly until the next engine start - no way to code it out permanently?

Chris Harris mentioned in his review that if you have the BMW app on your phone it won't prompt you every time.
"I hate the fact that I have to turn off the lane departure bullshit speed warnings, but that's just life. Apparently, if you have the app, which I don't have, you don't need to do that..." @4m9s |

MaxZ8, can't blame BMW for this; they are just abiding by your local/regional laws. As others have mentioned, coding won't void anything and is not to be confused with tuning a car. Coding is simply turning features on/off that already exist. You're literally flipping a bit, nothing more. |

Do the Euro models not have this option in settings?

Since mid-2022, all new car models in the UK and EU (and all new cars sold from July 2024) have to have an ISA system implemented that resets to active every time the car is started: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/content...2?refresh=true

What Chris said it's not possible. I have the MyBMW app on my phone and all the permisions and there si no way to turn off this features.
What is interesting is that my collegue M4 made 1 monthe after my M2 does not have this features. He turned off this systems and they stay like this. I think is has to do more with the homologation date than production date Last edited by myaghi; 06-27-2024 at 08:48 AM.. |
