POLL: Cannockwolf's M240i Monochromatic Paint
Next week I am scheduled to take delivery of my 2024 M240ix in Brooklyn Grey. I am on the fence about whether I want to follow his lead and paint the rocker and rear side panels the color of the car. I would like the members of this forum to give me there opinions. Thanks.

I’ve been thinking about doing this also, don’t know if I really like the gloss black on the bottom.

I pick up my car this weekend and that has been on my mind as one of the first things I want to do.

Why don’t you post a poll?
I thinks it’s a little unfair to phrase the question in reference to a member’s pride and joy. What they do to their car is up to them. I have a good rapport with cannockwolf and when he asked the same question, I gave my view. He ignored it as usual For me I’ve never been a massive fan of BG. However, with the given the colour choice it was in my top 3 when spec’ing my car. I felt BG was a just bit bland. Trying to be Nardo grey which it never will be. So painting the black parts to match would IMHO make a bland car blander. That said, I have BSM and some think that’s bland. But that’s ok. |

I'm a big fan of the rockers color matched as well as the mirror caps, the rear is kind of strange the fake tips and the hole they leave seems much more noticable once color matched making quad tips look a little strange. Personally on the back I'm thinking of adding the cf diffuser and trying stek Cf wrap on the rest of the back to kind of match. The m2 color matched mirrors and rockers def look good.

I also think it's a little unfair to frame the Q around a specific members car (although I'm sure no harm was intended). |

My view is I could never go back, never been so convinced I made the right choice, even as much as, when I see the gloss black on BGM it looks weird to me now

For those who were concerned about the use of his name in the title to the thread I reached out to him. The following is his reply:

I have BG and I have had the black parts ppf'd and ceramic coated. Even so, they still mark up with dirt very quickly. The beauty of BG is that it looks clean even when dirty, but the dust and dirt that accumulates on the black parts lets it down.
For that alone, +1 for cannockwolf's treatment. |

Having received mine now, I definitely still want to body color those gloss black panels. I think I will look to get that done right after tint and front PPF.
