Anti-Dazzle -- Engaged?
I've been googling this morning - I see many posts on this topic requiring remote coding ... I saw an older post using the Bimmercode app with expert mode to program "95%" of the functionality.
For those in the know, this is my first BMW. What are the options, and is it even worth the trouble? I have a ton of farms and deer in my area, so I wanted to get it working.

Thanks to M2siast Yes, it's worth the trouble as this is my favorite thing to code! Only problem is that it gets erased each time the car gets an update. |

Perfect! Thanks for the link; looks like similar settings from a 2021 post, wasn't sure if there was updated coding! I'm going to do this right now; hopefully, in the future, this will be a standard thing in the US as it's a no-brainer for added safety.

It’s definitely worth taking the time to code it in. It’s incredible on a dark road at night watching the high beams dancing around surrounding traffic.

If driving in urban areas you should ensure auto high beam is off. Mine generally won't engage in high lighting areas but it can.

So I finally did this the other day, and yeah... this is amazing! it's so fun, like you all said, to watch the light show while driving.

How do you know if it worked? Is there a visual confirmation on the dash? I only see the usual headlight icon with an A in it and when driving this morning I didn’t see the high beams come on. Any way to test? |

So you’re saying when it’s truly active it should be a blue symbol with an A in it? |

For anti-dazzle to work high beams need to be in AUTO.
Without anti-dazzle, oncoming traffic will cause high beams to go off when in AUTO (green) With anti-dazzle, oncoming traffic will cause high beams to stay on and "re-orient" to miss oncoming traffic and the indicator stays in AUTO (blue)

I notice it’s in auto green the majority of the time and then occasionally activates to auto blue. Does anyone know the parameters in which the no dazzle high beams activate (auto blue) and start their anti dazzle function? |

After you code anti-dazzle then the function exists. The only way to tell is to watch the headlights adjust to traffic in the same direction and oncoming.
If anti-dazzle is not coded then AUTO high beams will revert to low beams always with oncoming traffic. The best way to think of anti-dazzle is that they allow the auto high beams to stay in high in traffic by pivoting and shutting off some elements of the LED lights. Yeah can see this by items on the right (for LHD cars) being lit by high beams while a car more to your left just experiences low beam. If you have anti-dazzle coded correctly there will be no doubt if on a dark road with minimal to no traffic. Heck, it works at 30mph in my neighborhood.
