What are the new features?

Note: If you've coded your car with BimmerCode or some other coding app some custom settings may get reset to factory defaults during the update, depending on what modules get updated. Privacy settings might also get reset to factory defaults, so double check that as well.

I forgot to install lol going to do it now. But the change log didn't show anything.

Weird. I'm on 11/2023.73 with no updates available. My car is a 2023 though

I've been sitting here with a new software update ready to load for about a week now, just haven't done it.

The dealer will probably do it as it's in for the break-in service. 🤪

I believe they roll out in stages. It took me weeks to get the update you're on, when I seen it first reported released for our car

Nice I'm sure they will, do you know by chance what version it is?

I have not bothered to look. It was built 12/23 and had latest update when I got it mid-January. I'll see what I can find out when I pick it up later.

My car just got the 2023.73 update and in quick succession has the 2024.40 update. Wondering if there is a security issue. I have not updated yet.

Installed this today and it reset all my M1 and M2 settings along with the driver nanny features all being turned back on. None of this was done with BimmerCode or similar :/

Same. I was hoping this update would fix my Comfort Access issue (see below) that started with the 11/2023 update , but no such luck.

You can set the fob to unlock/lock the car by getting close/walking away from the car (its not through coding, its a setting on iD8). This way you dont have to physically use the fob.

It looks like there is a lot of faff with this update so I've been holding off.

Yes. I tried that. Uses the same antennas and not working. I have an antenna fault, it seems.

But their release notes suck - you read them and it’s always just the warnings - never tell you what changed.

How about letting me program the Mmode in the M1 and M2 buttons? Most brain dead move by M forcing you to go through multiple button presses to even get a tach on the HUD.

did the install last night after parking, this morning it was saying it couldn't connect to my iphone because of mis-matching bluetooth versions, but my iphone is up to date.... end of the drive it decided to work. gotta love software

I had this issue as well, couldn't connect to AA. After I started again after getting gas, the connection was restored.

My M2 wasn't changed, but my M1 was. I noticed I couldn't hear the car at all, I had more brake peddle travel and shifts were soft, then I checked my set up.

I had that same problem with last update. Push and Hold the volume button for like 15 sec to reset iDrive. Pair again, should work.
