Recaro pole position install | What emulator/coding do I need?
Title says it all. Recently upgraded to recaro pole positions and have a bunch of lights on the dash due to nothing being plugged into the wire harness under the pole positions. I absolutely do not want to just turn off the passenger airbag sensor as I could get sued up the ass if airbags don't deploy in the event of an accident with a passenger.
How can I make the lights go away and still have the passenger occupancy sensor always activated? I'm guessing I would need an emulator or special coding but haven't found any guides for the G8x platform. Would prefer an emulator so that I can still do regular maintenance at BMW without them batting an eye and so that over the air updates don't reset my settings but open to coding if it's a proper solution. Any help would be appreciated!

Reach out to bimmer-remote. They might be able to help.

Kies Motorsports recently did a video on installing aftermarket seats and coding the car with ProTool. Take a look on YouTube.

I sent over photos of the faults and they couldn't guarantee that they would be able to remove all of them.. stuck between a rock and a hard place atm. Not willing to pay for a service that may not even work.

I do. But coding on idrive7 is easy and bimmer remote can fix all of the errors as a result of replacing seats. But if you’re on idrive8, then that’s why they’re telling you they can’t guarantee it. I have a g87 as well that I installed seats in and they couldn’t wipe those errors with the exception of the airbag error, which if I’m not mistaken, relates to the airbag in your stock seat. So that’s gone anyway. You could rob the wiring harness from your stock seats and plug that in but that would mean destroying your stock seats, I think.
