I thought you were thinking about the Cayman my man? Personally, not a fan of convertibles. The only one I would consider, and I know they are expensive, is the Spyder. I think that car is absolutely gorgeous.
Boxster S (or convertible in general) you have to decide if a convertible is something you really want. |

It says what it is (you can see the full build and price), Boxter S which is the 2.5 4 banger...reminds me of this. Last edited by M_Power Rob; 06-04-2024 at 09:17 PM.. |

I would not get a 718 unless it was a GTS 4.0, personally.

Forgot to give my 2 pennies...no way in hell would I get thst over a G87. Not a fan of any of the 718s, let alone basically an entry level chick's car (you are paying for a logo and name). Last edited by M_Power Rob; 06-04-2024 at 09:51 PM.. |

The 4-cylinder 718 Boxster would be the archetypal Hairdressers Car if the 4-cylinder Macan hadn’t taken on that title

If you look at them strictly by spec/performance/price they are "similar", but in reality, they are functionally different.
So, I would look at it from a functionality standpoint. I consider the M2 a practical performance car. The Boxter (functionally) is closer to my Miata, which I still have because I like a nice drive in a convertible. But, it is miserable on long trips (travel with luggage) and only okay as a daily driver (if you only do it for a month or two). I had a friend show me around his Boxter, showing me how much it could "surprisingly" carry. It certainly is better than the Miata, but not nearly as useful as the M2. If it is just you and you can/will use a convertible, the Porsche looks attractive. If you only use a convertible seasonally/rarely and you want to go on vacation or go to an event (throw a cooler in the trunk sort of thing), the M2 seems more attractive. |
