Looking for drop-in parts to improve steering feedback/feel

Not looking for anything adjustable or crap I’ve gotta lube, just easy one n done that actually make a difference.

Anybody have any ideas?

Anybody using these?:

“Enhanced control and steering response without compromising ride comfort.”

https://europeanautosource.com/produ...w-g8x-m2-m3-m4
“Gives you more feedback and better handling.”

Any other ideas?

Try the CSL steering software flash.

I never got to do it, but they all seem to indicate that it is tuned to make the steering rack load up better.

and soooo much of these E-steering systems come down to programming!

steering response

I also was interested in the CSL flash upgrade.. it was available from Autoid (and I assume others) for around $500... When I asked about the install, I was informed that if and when I had a BMW software release, the flash would more than likely be erased.. I asked if there was not a way to 'save' the install and reload and was told no... the only answer offered to save the $500 CSL steering upgrade was to not accept any of the BMW upgrades to the car...I was like 'really'.. I passed..

Yep - that’s unfortunate. It should be a one-time, lifetime flash, per vehicle, tied to VIN or something.

Camber plates to dial in some additional negative camber and align it with zero toe will significantly increase steering response and feel.

Steering software doesn't really offer much, other than a bit tigher feel, the handling messiness will still be there.

The Millway Street Front Tension Strut/Thrust Arm Bushing Set are probably the #1 mod you can do in terms improving steering/handling, other than making the move to coilovers, which depends on your particular driving style or if you are intended on some bit of track use.

The G87 is pretty damn good out of the box, but there's a few areas that can be improved upon. I've never had a user express remorse after the new bushings - its one of the few limiting factors on the platform. And we always have these in stock.

Tom, what other lesser known mods make a huge difference to the out of the box experience of the g87? I’ve got the bushing set in the cart now.

Bit of a loaded question, depending on if this is a street only car or will see some track use.

Assuming street only & bushing-wise, this is it. The car is pretty new, so other rubber parts won't be breaking down for some time, but the thrust arms are the weak link.

Just a street car. Pairing camber plates, bushings kit, and AST has kit just to start.
Just didn’t know if there was anything more I should add while I’m in there.
