I know ADRO’s working on creating a new front bumper for the M2.
I still feel like the G87’s worst stylistic feature are the tail lights, would love to see someone create new tails. |

They’re already doing an LCI on the M2? Isn’t that usually after 4 years?

So they can sell 7 of them like they did with the M3/M4 catfish design that screams "I'm aftermarket"

Modern M car front bumpers (G8x aside) have had the following shape on the lower front bumper...
/ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ \ Only non-M cars (e.g. M-Sport) used this shape... \ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ / Had the same idea for the rear bumper as he did over 1-1/2yrs ago. |

I’ve learned to appreciate this cars design for what it is
The 2nd Gen G87 M2 is a completely different interpretation of M2 The new colors offering are definitely bringing the car into a new light… 13 colors in total… 🤩 I think it looks amazing in SPY and I can’t believe I’m even saying that because I have a highlighter on my desk just like it… 🤣

the adro m3/4 bumper is super ugly, they definitely sold a lot of them though. Their g87 bumper looks heavily inspired by the m8 and not a catfish which is a definite improvement, but since the g87 design is a lot less polarizing I don’t think they’ll sell as many

SketchMonkey is an awesome designer. Had the M division consulted with him sooner, maybe the M3 & M4 would've turned out just a touch different. And better. The M2 is a lot less polarizing, thank goodness. I like what he did with the rear bumper.

BMW should fire the current woke design team and hire this gentlemen here. An ultimate driving machine or true driving machine should be designed by true men.

He basically turned it in to a M240i LCI lol.
Car doesn’t need a thing, it’s beautiful as is. Just because it has its own design and doesn’t look like every other car doesn’t mean it’s not a good looking vehicle. You really have to see it in person to really see all the detail in the body work. Photos seem to have a hard time picking it all up. You really don’t want to wreck this car because it will be very difficult to repair the panels due to their complex shapes/design, you’ll just have to replace them. IMO, this is a very special car, and in some way my personal version of let’s say an Aston Martin coupe. I’m hoping to keep it a long time beside my 911. |
