Hey everyone, after reading a post here and getting an email from BMW, I called them and learned that my 2024 g87 came with a $1000 certificate (in addition to the New Owner’s Track Drive certificate which covers you and a guest). The $1k certificate can be upgraded and used towards any of their offerings and the 2025 schedule just opened up, at least in Thermal.

Anyways, just sharing in case some of you don’t know this. Have a great weekend!

Do you have any further information on this? You were just randomly provided with a voucher for $1,000?

I really dont know how they issue the $1,000 certificates. It’s been a while since I bought my first BMW but never heard of this until after got the g87. When I called to schedule the New Owners event, they voluntarily disclosed the information.

Maybe other members from the forum have some insight… if not, just call with your VIN and ask them if there are any certificates associated with your car.

Doesn’t every new bmw car come with “ new owner track drive”

I went a few years ago after I bought an X5. Was pretty fun

I received an email shortly after my purchase inviting me to a complimentary track drive. It says I have 12 months after purchase of the car to redeem it. Hopefully I can fit it into the schedule.

I believe so, since 2020. As far as the additional $1k certificate, I doubt it. Could someone confirm?

Yes I have the free M track day but never heard of an additional certificate. Not sure

How did you guys receive notification of a free track day? I did one with my Blackwing and would love to do another with the m2.

As far as I know. The track day is part of the “m drivers pack” option. It also increases the top speed of the car to 177mph. If you don’t have that box on your build sheet I don’t believe you get the track day.

I called after getting my G87 to setup the 3 hour "new owners drive" in Spartanburg.

Another employee called back later that day to offer me the full day driver's school free of charge in additional to the new owners drive.

I was not offered or aware you could apply the $1000 towards a more advanced class.

Nice free offering!

They mentioned the $1k certificate could be upgraded but not the new owners. I scheduled the new owners (complementary) and a 1-day M driving school (applied the $1k cert towards this). They also mentioned it expires a year after buying the car but can be used later as long as you schedule prior to that.

So does everyone qualify for the new owners drive? I also don’t see anything about the $1000 certificate, but it makes sense if it all comes from the M Driver’s Pack

Yes, you'll get 2 hours time on a track with the new owner track day. I think $1K certificate was the Father Day weekend promotional in June.

I did not option my car with the M drivers package but I still got the email invite for my complimentary track day. Who knows how all this works....

I appear to have deleted the email. Who should I reach out to confirm eligibility? Received car in Oct of 2023 so need to schedule ASAP if possible.

I took PCD and one week later they still offered track day to me as well. I think the only catch is that PCD comes with 1 free guest while this new owner track day requires some costs if bringing additional guest.

You are correct. I re read my email from BMW and I have the "new owner track drive". I can bring 1 guest and their cost would be $299 to participate. Sounds like a fun date weekend with the wife!

But you have to go to SC or California to use it? I’m in Austin, they don’t do it at COTA? They have M track days there.
